On my homepage (see my signature) you will find the beta version of the Maximum Football Draft Modul. Please download and read the manual, too.

Congratulation. You have found the first bug.

There is something wrong with the page. I have later tried to upload the manual as html which was not successful. So i will include the pdf in the zip folder.

It was joke.

and it will be not the last bug ...

The pdf is now included in the zip folder. But it worked for me. After clicking on the pdf file my Acrobat reader was started.

Could be my Acrobat reader then
I tend to always skip updating it

Right, lets have another go

EDIT: Kewl, got it from the zip
looks fairly easy to follow, I'll look forward to using it when the time comes
(I'm still only half way through season one - so it;ll be a while yet).

Cheers Tillius

Well, so far this is absolutely amazing. I often wish David had gone with an interface more like OOTP, a bit easier to use and navigate. Well, this is it. Being able to see and sort players during the draft, all on the same screen, adjusting profiles and such....just wow!
I simmed thru season 1 of an indoor league and moved to season2 to try the program out. Really loving this.
I will run a draft here shortly...report back anything I find.

@ MB

I send you the file as e-mail. I have your address.

@ Gary

Which screen did you saw before the draft ? I think it will help when you leave the tool and then start the tool again and this time go direct to the draft. I will locate the bug quickly.

Pic 1 is what I see when I load the league

Pic 2 is after I hit College Draft

Then I choose Auto Draft, hit the draft button, and the error happens

Please send me the league as zip file. When you hit the first time the draft button the first pick needs some time and when you make a double click and you pc is perhaps slow the tool will start the process again and tries to open the database again - but the database is already open. But this is only a theory.

The error message is misleading. It is a 8 men league problem. The problem is that there are no Punters and that confuses the utility. I think i have found the solution.

This is a great utility.
A little screenshot/cut and paste action and this is a historical document.
Great way to look back on previous drafts and see who was taken when, and did they earn their paycheck.

Hey Tullius, I did just notice that it is possible to load up a league that has completed a draft and training camp, and then run the draft again on top of what has already been done. I ran the draft using the utility on my 8 man OEFL. Then ran training camp in game.
I then loaded it back up in the draft utility and it allowed me to draft again, so my teams had double sized rosters.

In the league database, there is a table called 'League_SeasonStatus', there is an entry for Draft Complete and when complete it should be -1
Maybe the utility could check for that and not allow another draft to be run?
I understand it would be a bonehead move to redraft the same league, but I thought I would mention it. People do make mistakes.
In game, the buttons for draft and TC were grayed out, so that is as it should be.

Yep. They look very nice on the field, by the way My plan is a mirror universe type of thing. I have a CFL type league, a US pro league, 8 man league(OEFL)and the Pacifica League.
Only my US league and the Pacifica are actually running. The other 2 are 'lab rats' for Tullius at the moment.

Thanks Tullius - love the output and interface, really easy on the eyes, like TPB, OOTP and PureSim.  Looking forward to using this for a "live" league soon!

When the college draft is done then the entry for "Draft Complete" is -1. Otherwise MF would not proceed the Training Camp. The double roster size will force the AI and the user to cut players to become a legal roster before a game is played. I was not sure if a user wants to run a FA round after the Training Camp.
Graying out buttons when the TC is completed is not really a problem.

having an FA draft round is excellent

I'm really looking forward to reaching that point in my league where I can use this super new tool

As there are no bug reports i will end the beta test and the final version is now released. I made only two cosmetical changes. The only "improvement" is when you copy the draft report then the column headers will now automatically included.

We all have a life. The tool was downloaded by many people and i think at least some have used itand found no serious problems. Otherwise the thread had much more posts.
