Reposting this cos I'm not sure if I posted it in the right place




Trying to set up my league and have hit a little problem

Canadian rules
rules are set to 45% imports (so at least 55% must be canadian)
I used all fantasy players and just let the game itself generate all the players

then I realised something...................nearly every player its genereated is american
in fact going through some of the players, I havnt found a Canadian yet

So what am doing wrong ?????????????????????

even more annoying.............................

when I play a quick game before having generated the fantasy players
it generates a squad of players for quick game................mostly canadian

so why isnt doing this when I try to set up the league ???????

ANYONE ???????????????

well hopefully David will have an answer
because I just went through every team in My League.................every single player is american
I also noticed in the pre-made Canadian rules League (not sure on abbreviation) everyones american

OMG...............what happened to Canada and its population of football players and followers
Did Canada vanish while I was asleep ????????????

I have used generic players and re-named them to actual players, but I can't change where they are from and or skills. Is this something you're looking at or into David???

you can change both with the ingame utility
or you can use JD's editor - which actually is the better tool of the 2

Hey Mykal, have you noticed if the import thing even works? I see canadian players on my teams. Not many, but some.

No it never got fixed Gary
the Imports rule is their but the game doesnt police or enforce it

wether the game now generates canadian players when it makes new players
I cant answer that one, havnt created a new league since
and not got to the end of season one in any of my leagues to see if it makes new canadian rookies yet.

Imports is one of the things I police manually,
it helps limit (a little) the movement of players with the absence of any cap.

and mentioning Cap - having a cap is one of the idea's I binned sometime ago
to much like a math lesson for my liking having to enforce it manually

And without an AI to enforce a cap, it could get ugly.

it can and does, every week with the way team profiles are used
means constant re-calculating of figures, just way to much work for me

I wanna play football, not sit a math lesson
