Reading the forums lately and noticed that many people are looking for PBEM's to play. I am so glad that I started playing online. There are so many things that I have learnt by playing against human players.Strat transfer, unit training, unit movement, choice of SF's. The AI tends to oversee or forgive some mistakes that experienced human players don't. I have played a few games and gotten so beaten up that I was too scared to play another player(Thanks JayDoubleyou), but tried again still getting a beating. I think the getting beaten makes us all better.I reckon that even George and Seille had the same experiences. The manual is bad, the forum is great but an online game with the forum is the best way to learn a game. Esp the AAR's are so helpful, that I now understand how the game works, at least I think I do. All I have to remember is not to make the same mistakes again. So playing a PBEM is the best way to learn, ask the player afterwards what you did wrong, even during a game. I think he'll be helpful enough to tell you what you did wrong. Without gloating! Most people in this forum want to make the game better, thus we all need better opponants.
