I can only answer for EF:

1. any
2. big ones mostly with HAL defending (me as the germans, HAL playing usually the russians)
3. attack, but this depends of course on the time, later in the war the germans  dont have much to attack.
4. all three outcomes are possible (vic/loss/draw)
5. doesnt matter
6. big
7. seldom

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against humans?

All kinds. Though I lean to the small & medium in size. Anything beyond 30 turns is a bit beyond my taste.

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against HAL?

None, even the campaigns become a borefest.

Do you prefer to attack or defend?

It matters not to me. Each has it's challenge. What about meeting engagements?

What consistutes a balanced scenario?

A good question. I think that any scenario that allows the opportunity of a victory, from either side, by two similarly skilled opponents has balance.

Do you prefer historical, historically based, fictional type scenarios, or does it matter?

Something well thought out, that plays well. (I guess it does not matter, for me.)

What size scenarios do you prefer to play?

Oops! I already answered. I prefer small to medium but, I do play the larger ones (mostly as team games).

Do you play online?

Only if I hit the lottery and was independently wealthy could I even find the time to play on line. (I guess that means ... no I do not.)

Thanks for asking!

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against humans?

I have only played Dumnorix's mod against him.

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against HAL?

I like the impossible odds type scenarios, like trying to defend against the Russian swarm, or breaking through a nasty defense.

Do you prefer to attack or defend?

I like both.

What consistutes a balanced scenario?

I guess one where two players of equal skill would end in a "draw".

Do you prefer historical, historically based, fictional type scenarios, or does it matter?

Historical

What size scenarios do you prefer to play?

The bigger the better.

Do you play online?

Haven't in 10+ years....good times though

Thanks for your time!

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against humans?

Balanced of Course, perferably small and not too long.

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against HAL?

Generated Battles.

Do you prefer to attack or defend?

Attack, Defending can get rather difficult depending on scenario.

What consistutes a balanced scenario?

Equal chance of Victory.Putting the same amount of units for both sides doesn't mean a balanced scenario, 50 Panzer VIs vs. 50 M4A1 Shermans is not a fair fight.

Do you prefer historical, historically based, fictional type scenarios, or does it matter?

Doesn't matter, as long as the scenario isn't too far fetched and is fun.

What size scenarios do you prefer to play?

small to medium size, perferably with little to no transporting.

Do you play online?

Sometimes

1.What kind of scenarios do you like to play against humans?

I like armor, lots of armor, never got over pushing around toy tanks in the dirt.

2. What kind of scenarios do you like to play against HAL?

Small scenarios that usually take no more than a couple of hours.

With LOTS of armor...

4. Do you prefer to attack or defend?

Whatever, as long as it has LOTS of armor...

5.What consistutes a balanced scenario?

That is a pretty subjective question depending on who you are playing against.
Balanced is LOTS of burning tanks on the battlefield...

6. Do you prefer historical, historically based, fictional type scenarios, or does it matter?

Prefer historical, but not a written in stone statement.

LOTS of armor...

What size scenarios do you prefer to play?

Very small for my small brain...

(subliminal message)...LOTS of ARMOR

Do you play online?

I have, but never enough time and don't like being responsible for getting turns out...

LOTS of ARMOR...

Thanks for listening...

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against humans?

Small to medium, meeting engagements for the most part

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against HAL?

I don't particularly care for games vs the AI due to it's various weaknesses

Do you prefer to attack or defend?

Both

What consistutes a balanced scenario?

I don't actually believe in scenario balancing all that much. In reality, a commander would avoid a balanced fight and either attack with overwhelming odds, back away, or bypass the enemy force. Players can participate in an unbalanced scenario and the "underdog" can still give a good accounting of himself without necessarily winning. The players involved will know in their own minds how that was scored. I think our need for balance stems from how other types of games are set up and played - for example in chess, the battlefield is symmetrical to both sides, there is no fog of war, and each player has identical forces. Same with basketball, soccer, etc.

Do you prefer historical, historically based, fictional type scenarios, or does it matter?

Doesn't matter

What size scenarios do you prefer to play?

Around Battalion size

Do you play online?

All the time

What consistutes a balanced scenario?
One where either side has a chance at a draw or win against a simualur skilled opponent.

Do you prefer historical, historically based, fictional type scenarios, or does it matter?

Regimental size (Task Force/Kamppfgruppe), map size and length without restriction

quote:

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against HAL?

none

quote:

Do you prefer to attack or defend?

elastic defence/slow retreat

quote:

What consistutes a balanced scenario?

Hard to tell
Player's skills, balanced scenario for one can be challenge fot others
Large scenarios can be balanced better (or maybe unbalancing is not quickly evident)
Best scenarios usually have mixed forces and need rock-paper-scissors tactic

quote:

Do you prefer historical, historically based, fictional type scenarios, or does it matter?

it doesn't matter, some historic background is fine

quote:

What size scenarios do you prefer to play?

Complexity 6 - less units, more turn

Do you play online?

yes

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against humans?

None

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against HAL?

Historical

Do you prefer to attack or defend?

Mostly attack, but only due to the fact HAL is best on defense. I would play defense scenarios if HAL made better concentrated attacks.

What consistutes a balanced scenario?

Good placement of victory locations x scenario length + not necessarily equal forces= good for me

Do you prefer historical, historically based, fictional type scenarios, or does it matter?

Historical

What size scenarios do you prefer to play?

Battalion

Do you play online?

Never

Thanks for your time!

What kind of scenarios do you like to play against humans?

All kinds but only up to level 5 or 6 maximum.

quote:

More offensive minded scenarios, HAL is normally much better in the defensive than the offensive, thus providing a much more interesting challenge.

quote:

Do you prefer to attack or defend?

Both.

quote:

What consistutes a balanced scenario?

A scenario where both oponnents have a reasonably equal chance of winning it, even if one loses terrain due to the overwhelming force of the other player, but if this can be compensated by the victory points in the objectives...

quote:

Do you prefer historical, historically based, fictional type scenarios, or does it matter?

I prefer historical or historically based but don't mind one or two fictional scenarios, like «A Tale of Giants» in East Front, although the Maus tanks left me a sour taste in my mouth after i fought them, and i had JS III!

quote:

What size scenarios do you prefer to play?

Battalion size or up to level 5 or 6, after that it becomes too big but i have already played a level 7 or 8 scenario once in a while.

quote:

Do you play online?

No, never, only PBEM.

I would just like to thank Jason for all the work he has given to the Campaign Series, since the Talonsoft days, a few months ago i have played one of his scenarios with a friend of mine, «Guerrillas in the midst», and it was a blast, thank you Jason.

1) I dont usually play against human opponents

2) DCG's and the very occasional stand alone senario. But DCG's!!!

3) I am not really sure the is such a thing as a balanced senario, but if pressed, I would tend to think it would be where each side has an equal chance of winning. (Not necessairily with equal forces)

4) Historically based....like the random engagements in a DCG.

5) Battalion/Regiment...with lots of armor. I would go to division if I had the time.

6) Never play online.

oops...forgot one...either attack or defend...it doesnt matter.
