I just played a few games after ungrading from 1.04 to 1.06. Overall it was a nice experience. The movement speed is much better, almost too fast! On the downside, no naval movement for garrisons. That means no way to get an air unit into Malta if it starts with a garrison. If garrisons were doing too much cheap invading, a better fix would have been to only allow them to unload from a friendly port.

As to the AI, when play against max advantage Axis and fog of war it seems that the Brits had all three French ports working for them for the whole game! There was a Brit unit in each port that sailed away the turn after surrender, but no Axis unit bothered to enter them.

BTW, has anyone commented on one way trains? The German can rail from Minsk to Moskow, but not back again.
