Look, over the years I've seldom posted any gripes about PureSim, except to suggest changes that would improve the game (i.e. "wouldn't it be better if...?") After playing out literally thousands of games, it's still my favorite baseball sim.

I post this because I actually feel guilty about complaining. It's too late for PS, but I'm 100% supportive of Shaun's efforts, and I eagerly await the game's successor.

Ok, now that I've gotten that off my chest, let's play ball!

KG:

I never remember you complaining about anything PureSim related with Shaun. I'm curious what brought this on? Many of us, myself in particular, had grown frustrated with no news on the new version. But thankfully that has changed in the last few days. We all just love the game and want the new version...

Not sure what brought that on, but please do not apologize. There was a great community over here at one time, and you were at the center of it with some other folks (who else misses Amoraq as much as I do?) I got busy in the real world and then distracted. I wish I never left Matrix, we had a great thing going here! That comment has nothing to do with Wolverine (which is great, especially having design resources), it's just that I seem to have the knack for moving just as a community gets established.

You guys are the reason I keep trying to get lightning to strike again :)

Shaun

What brought this on was my recent discovery of the regions getting screwed up in the historical season import. It pains me that neither I nor anyone else noticed it before, and now it's too late to get it fixed (it must be manually fixed by the player).

It wouldn't bug me so much except for the fact that weather conditions DO sometimes affect the outcomes of games. In a very close race or a World Series, it could make a huge difference.

In other words, it's just me having an obsessive moment, which in of itself, is not consistent with my personality. It is a simple admission of how immersed I get into this gaming experience. Only one other game affects me this way, but that's irrelevant.

I remember having to change the regions for my historical association, as well, but I figured that was just par for the course.

Just heard from him on Facebook this past week. I'll see if I can get him to poke his head in and say hi.

I'm still around. I think Amoraq just got into Football Manager (UK Soccer Sim) so much that he doesn't have time for BB. I use to see his name at that forum a lot.

I myself, have just been burned out on text sims or any kind of simulation (I bought Tiger 2008 for Xbox360 and played it twice -- Tiger 2009 sits in the wrapper since Christmas). However, I've recently started a new PS league and I've managed to play three games so far.

I'm hopeful of being able to play it a bit. BTW, PS 2007 "is" my favorite sim.

Hi guys!

Thanks for thinking of me - I'd been chatting with Al and Shaun recently and they both encouraged me to drop in.

How's everybody been?

I've been living in San Diego the last two years, and have recently joined the ranks of the unemployed .. which might actually be a good thing for the text-sports-sim industry, as my previous commitments prevented me from contributing more than general forum-postings.

P.S., if any of you regulars are on facebook, drop me a PM and we can link up that way too so's I don't go quite so AWOL next time.

Amoraq,
Very nice to hear from you. This old timer missed you and great post. Sorry to hear about the job loss. The way things are going I'm looking over my shoulder all of the time lately. Please stay in touch. What is Face Book? Never been there.
