Right now, we have PS version 1.72, which many of us still play. This is a great game as is, but Shaun elected to jump to Wolverine Studios, which specializes in sports games. Matrix has helped promote PureSim to a crowd which didn't even know that PS existed. I've played PS for a few years, and have watched it develop into a top-notch text-based baseball sim. The next iteration will undoubtedly be a step forwards, and I eagerly await it. In the meantime, I am perfectly happy with PS, as my "Locker Reports" amply show. Shaun started this game as a solo project, but it has gained popularity over the years and now is attracting followers from both "stats geeks" and casual gamers. As a baseball fan for many years, I yearned for a game that supplied both "era immersion" and "statistical approximation". Pure Sim provides this fan with exactly the type of simulation I'd been looking for. Specifically, I can start a career league at any point in history, and then rewrite history from that point on. There are many options that can be chosen, using either historical players/teams or computer-generated fictional players/teams. It all depends on what you, as the player, is wanting to do. What are you wanting to do, Old Dog? Recreate a certain MLB season? Dang, that's easy, once you get the hang of it. You buy the game, and we'll make the season for you, WITH certain limitations. Post 1920 is fine. Before that time, the weirdly-configured parks cause problems.
