When I go to utilities and pick a team and then I picked Davis Jr. for a playbook file and then press update it says please select a playbook.
What am i doing wrong?

Try adding it from within the game see if that works.

No that didnt work either. I guess I dont know what I am doing. So here is what I do.
I download from the net Hacks playbook file to my computer.
I then click on the file and extract it to the 'Plays" section of max football.
I then click on the game and then utilities. I open a file and select a team, in this case 1976 Nfl/Pittsburgh Steelers. I then click on playbook and try to select one of hacks coaches. But it wont take it.
So again what am I doing wrong...

Thanks...

press "league play"

select team, press "view team"

press "edit team"

press "select" under the playbook box

select playbook and hit done.

what version are you using?  the lastest is v3.4.5.  it is available here -> http://www.maxmykal.com/user_created_stuff

if it is not still not working...

make a copy of your current "Plays" folder and place it somewhere so you don't delete it.

open Hacks v3.4.5 zip folder.

select the "Hacks v3.4.5 plays" folder, save it onto your computer.

rename that folder as "Plays"

Move that folder into the MaxFB folder, and replace the current "Plays" folder that you previously copied and backed up.

then attempt it again....

hope that helps!!!

Ok Hack,
I did what you said to do at 1st..  Edit team and then select playbook...   All I see are 1b or 2b or 34 or 43 and so on.   I thought I had to pick a Coach--Like Wilson or Davis Jr..    Guess I am wrong..

Thanks....

good to hear they are working out for you.

there is one more playbook to come.  i just finished it, but i have some editing of the other ones to do (3 of the teams situations contain no plays because i updated).  i think it is my best one yet.
