Yer likewise Pete, there's no compulsion involved if folk put there name forward for "the List", obviously situations change over time etc. etc.  I just reckon as more folk get to grips with the game there will probably be more folk wanting to try there hand at multi-player so having names of reserves upfront may help.

I would say we should make sure that people that are already in a game shouldn't be in a top position for the replacement. For exemple, Carl is looking for a game. If we don't want to loose him as a player it might be better to put him on top priorities for a the first spot that opens up.


You also 7 on that list... So if you could find someone else you could just launch another one.

I'd just hate to see players leave the COG:EE PBEM crowd because of the lack of games... Espescially since we aren't that many!

Problem is Franck if I altered it like you suggest as sure as Eggs go with Bacon someone would whinge about being dropped down the list, so apart from myself I just add names as they come in.

I will put a rider to that effect at the top of the 1st post so folk dont think there is any preferential order involved.

In that case your position on the Reserve list is secure

Seriously though it looks like the Southern Cross on the flag, I did go and Google Australias flag and sure enough it showed the Southern Cross, ... should have Googled NZ as well I suppose.

Anyhow Profuse appologies to the Good folk of NZ (my Lads emigrated out there so I had better watch it) I will try to do better in future

NZ is a wonderful country Aprezto. Worked there for a couple of years a while back, and regretted coming back ever since. Where do you hail from?

A quality game and a quality community.

I'm still available for an additional game, so long as newer players don't need one. Will be happy to play lower profile powers, as I've been GB and Prussia so far.

Can't promise more than a 48 hr turnaround at present (Prussia game takes priority, as still running at T50+).

Status: offline 		Perhaps it might be better to have another list (or another thread?) with games that are 1) about to start and looking for players (Danish Anyone? ) and 2) started games looking for replacements.

That way, we have one or two central locations for any new people interested in PBEM.

a suggestion: add a *new game* after a name if someone is looking for one. that way people have 1 location to go to if not in one already. Perhaps a "1st new game" if someone is NO games at the moment?

Something came up on the Danish Anyone? thread. What about people's vacations? I had a thought that IF your country was not doing much of anything (ie. no major wars, no major plans for the next turn or two), perhaps some on the Reserve List would be interested in covering for a player who was on vacation for a turn or two (following that players general instructions). Thoughts?

Evwalt, my personal feelings are to keep it simple by just having the 1 list of names; as it suggests at the bottom inclusion is cover for ‘Dropouts’, or, for a ‘New game’.

When some brave soul like yourself feels ready to sound out interest re a New game, they can set up a new thread and folk can apply, then if numbers ain’t met the Reserve list can be raided, sort of, “Oy! Wanna game then Sunbeam!??”

Yer good idea re Hols and cover from the ‘Reserve list’, we’ve had folk taking short breaks in the other games and tended to bite the bullet, suffer withdrawal symptoms, kick next doors cat just that bit more often etc. But your idea sounds Good for longer absences.
