Which crossovers of games do you dream about seeing?

For me, a UFO:ET-like game with the tactical battle engine of Close Combat would be a dream come true.

Grand turnbased ww2 pacific wargame with decent AI. Or any good grand strategy game with AI. Even total war would do.

A quality turn based 4X game (like SotS or Galciv 2), with combat that plays out like either Evochron Legends or Nexus: the Jupiter Project, depending on the size of ship you choose to command/pilot. And a decent B5 mod for it.

Something like Checkers, but more like Chess.

How about a new Master of Orion that doesn´t suck? Preferably with a combat system that does not automatically turn battles into a pure slugging match?

Strategic and tactical games in one, where both systems are turn & hex based.

I agree with the 4x space game. A strategic level like MOO3 was supposed to be and tactical battles like Star Fleet Battles. All turned based.

With how good COG is, I think Western Civilizations is the shop to do it!

I agree with this and Western Civilization games developers know how to do it right. Even their ai's are challenging and the many options for how we want to play the games make their games the best choice. Now if we could just get them to do some Greek (300 Spartans) and Roman history versions. Then we could all say bye bye to the lame Total War engine and ai it has become.

Close Combat meets Airborne Assault. Two AIs are playing against each other and the player commands only his own platoon or company with a realistic awareness and degree of control.
