Being positive about the economy at this stage is difficult and I think John has done a good job keeping it together for as long as he has...there was a point some months ago when I feared that it would reach critical mass much earlier, but good management has resulted in keeping it chugging along until now...because my friends I feel the grease is hardening the arteries and the engine is spluttering. But it isn't all that grim yet ...The tipping point will start today as Japan runs out of oil and then in 20 days when the other regions do likewise and HI production drops to zero. Lastly the final death roll will be come in around 70 days as John runs out of accumulated HI...that is unless those TK's get through ! How do I calculate this ? John is now surviving on around 4000HI a day, and has been producing around 10K, but this is all about to change as Japan fails to have enough fuel and therefore the Imperial economy will only produce about 3500HI/day. So a shortfall of 500HI. Then Manchuko/Formosa/NthChina stops in about 20, a shortfall of 4000/day. Then accumulated HI / use = about 70days(I'm not at home so am working on figures in my mind) Then that's it... But while Borneo still stands and the shipping lanes are traverseable ... Shipbuilding (you need to halt all the ships you don't intend building in the Naval roster so you will be able to pinpoint your building) For 198 HI you can get the first 6 ships to be completed... or if you just want the 7 DD's in the next 30 days incl accelerated... 1806 HI total (might be a small price to pay for these as you have already almost completed them) --- and there is "accumulated sunk costs". Anyway your choice. Repair yards to my knowledge don't use HI/Res/Supply so turning them off is not required. Your plane production is a marvel to behold ... keep cranking them out John... well at least for the next 70 days. One thing however is that it would be nice if you could find an AirHQ with enough supplies to reinforce many of your airgroups that are depleted, even if you are using cannon fodder pilots...Upgrading Tony's, reinforcing Zekes, nicks, george, frank units...(anyway not being critical - just I have to do this V Nemo alot and it takes me almost as long as planning the turn - but it has kept my airforce still in the fight somewhat ... I should write up in my AAR how and what I've done) -- sorry for my self-congratulatory tone, it is the small bright light in my game! If things get critical we coud even turn off the Nakajima plants and save another 723HI/day, your reserves should last 3 months at least. LCU's will all come in full strength, reinforcements to existing troops is unlikely to really dent that as your supply levels are so low. Any Q's comments ... as I am often incorrect Cheers to one and all ... Damian
