OK, my Japanese TF's are hanging around Guadalcanal and we've just landed a lot of supplies and infantry reinforcements. Before attacking the US land forces I want to soften them up with a bombardment. My TF with battleships and heavy cruisers has been set to a bombardment mission, but there doesn't seem to be any way of specifying a target and no information about how close to the land I need to be to do it...anyone know anything about this?

Just set their mission to Bombardment and give them the destination hex of the base you want bombarded, they will do the rest once they get there.
