Su44 WA

Austria is really too tough a nut to crack so the WA high command decides to follow the historical timetable and go for operation "overlord" ... but instead of taking normandy, WA finds TLC a better position to give a direct threat to W_GER.

Fa44 USSR + China

We congratulate our Occidental allies that were able to take TLC suffering heavy loses from four flak, 3 fighters 4 tactical bombers and 4 strategic bombers damaged

The soviets occupy Rumania and Eastern Poland.

Fall 1944:

Germany:

As our Russian foe did notice, Germany choosed strong AA defense against the Allies and a 9 value of Air Attack seems doing wonders for the moment.

Therefore we can keep the Luftwaffe on the Eastern Front which seems to work as well

Germany will loose the whole of France next turn and the rest of the Balkans but for the moment Germany should be safe... from ground attacks.

Nonetheless I believe than by Summer 1945 Germany should surrender.

Winter 1944:

Germany:

Germany did retreat to the motherland mostly. Some losses done against the Allies against lonely INF.

Production is but a shadow of former glorious times when the world was trembling under ... ok ok long time ago

Should still survive Spring 1945 I hope after that

Wi45 USSR

The gap is closing around Germany, it is now up to Polonthi to decide upon the soviets or the Anglo-Saxons.

Spring 1945:

Germany:

Last attack from the Kriegsmarine, the Whermacht and the Luftwaffe for this War. We almost pushed back the Allies out of Austria but short of 1 PARA. Still we did them a few losses so to level the odds for WW3.

Even so believe it will be a daunting task for Russia to have a shot at it.

Sp 45 USSR

The soviets attacked Berlin but defenses proved too strong for this hasty attack.
Turkey was taken, trying to disuade the WA from continuing the war against comunism.

Summer 1945, my prediction was correct

Would suppose an Allied victory as the Axis VP treshold didn't go very high.

Why did Russia attack I wonder? would have forced the Allies to do it to get VP and risk a lot of losses in doing so. Now Allies and Russian armies ar more or less equal but US has fleet mobility and time on their side.

Pax American once again

Congratulations to the Allied team - Please post the final victory screen or at least the outcome (e.g. Allied Marginal victory) here.

Did the Axis reach the first watermark?

Please continue with the ww3. Somewhere I thought there was a new scoring added for the WA need to take Moscow but could not locate it - can anybody remember or was it me just dreaming?

Be sure you are using the latest patch 1.020.
We will be using the new WWIII scoring for round 3/4 i.e. capture Moscow.

Enjoy
-MrQ

aah here it is - just need to find the score next...

... here it is:

WA wins via East/West with in game AV(i.e. required strat points) no Moscow WA +5 SU 0
WA wins via capturing Moscow WA +15 SU 0
Game ends before WA gets AV or Moscow and WA has more than 22sp SU +15 WA 0
Game ends before WA gets AV or Moscow and WA has less than 23sp SU +20 WA 0
SU gets east/west AV SU +25 WA +0

actually there is a catch - the WA should not try to get to AV BEFORE they have taken Moscow

Anthony your right, fall 45 is skiped don't know why, since I didn't post my turn I had not noticed it. Here is the situation before Germany fell to capitalism.
The russians took Bulgaria, bombed a factory in India and sunk two transports, nothing else I could do the allies have a huge technological advantage, ie they have their artillery attack at 11 while the soviet is at 8, their inf is at 8-8 while mine at 7-7, their LB at 5(range)-8 attack -8 defense and mine at 4-5-5...
Not to talk about thier industrial output, this is already lost I'm afraid.

The max. score for the WA is 15, if they get to Moscow and AV. The Russians can limit the WA to 5 if they defend Moscow. Russia itsself only scores if the WA do not get AV:

WA wins via East/West with in game AV(i.e. required strat points) no Moscow WA +5 SU 0
WA wins via capturing Moscow WA +15 SU 0
Game ends before WA gets AV or Moscow and WA has more than 22sp SU +15 WA 0
Game ends before WA gets AV or Moscow and WA has less than 23sp SU +20 WA 0
SU gets east/west AV SU +25 WA +0

Of course, AAR points are still awarded!

You need to attack via Persia and the Caucasus to take Moscow from behind.

On that side no too many VP to take. With Air Power you can outmanoeuver Russia anytime.

Congratulation the the Allied team, since as you posted the WA have 23 VP at the moment It is fair to assume that the WA would get AV quickly? In that case the WA get 5 points and SU get 0 points (which is the lowest possible overall) With the WWII victory points and AAR bonus that leaves each of you with the following score for this game:

Polonthi: -10 + 5.75 = -4.25 pts.
Tica: -10 + 1.75 = -8.25 pts.
Rjh1971: 30 + 6.25 + 0 = 36.25 pts.
A511: 30 + 6.0 + 5 = 41.0 pts.

Any objections?

Bump.
Hopefully after reading an AAR and with the new patch that allows pbem++ people will become interested in this game again.
