OK Chris I take your point - but I thought that the supply&fuel tab and the Oil&Res tab were enough to make working that out fairly easy.

quote:

Actually I am missing something! My version of tracker does not have the Supply/day column.

I'm using version 1.5

Yeah this build (I'm showing) hasn't been released yet, that is why I sent you an *.xls file... but if you look at this pic I've included a daily supply (this is stock) so you can take note of these bases and then plan your supply transportation ...

I guess I could have done all the work for you guys, but isn't that part of the fun of planning trade routes ?

.
Now that tells me everything at a glance. I don't have to use the grey matter

Reinstall Java. That class is part of the core language.

Hi folks,
It's been a while since an update ... speaking for myself I've been flat strapped with PBEM and RL commitments & I'm sure Floyd is the same.

Any last requests ? Cause I'm programming today and tomorrow and I want to get any last additions (That Floyd and I think are cool) & my code cleaned up before I send to Floyd in the next few days... (Yes Floyd I'm really going to this time!!)

Does this mean we are close to a new release? Maybe No, but this is the only time I'll have for the next few weeks to really concentrate on Tracker, so fire away

Yes, we have fixed most of the bugs ... (I think), & I will post some screen shots of new exciting additions I've been working on soon.

Damian

Hi Damian, I know you've added column sorting on the Device History popup, so we can display the most recent turn at the top.  I'd just like to mention that there are a lot of popup panels that could currently use this capability.  I don't know if you've hit them all, several, or just one, but if it's not too complicated, being able to sort on any and all column headers on all panels would be awesome.

As always, a hearty thanks to you and Floyd!

Would it be possible to add a display regarding device upgrades to the LCU production screen? Being able to estimate how many armament/vehicle points will be needed to bring all units to the newest standard would really be helpful.

Hi Damian,

as I already stated this would really help me:
In the Task Forces Dataset you added the fields "Label" and "Notes". It would be great if these were available for LCUs and Air Groups too, since they really help in planning.

Thank you,
Marc

Rainer - given time, I might be able to implement an estimate on arm/veh upgrades, but I have other priorities at present.

Marc - possible, but Floyd and I will discuss (as the DB is running slow as is)

Some new screens showing features that might be included in the next build. I have more so I'll post later again.

Next from the AirProduction drop-down ...

[edit] Also fixed the date filter here as well as numerous other small fixes.

[edit]
I should tell you that the Engine Production planner, really shows plane engine use over time.
Also want to make this pop-up click able which will show why there are changes.ie.Planes entering production or upgrade.

Could you add a feature that will prevent me from making both stupid mistakes and and ridiculous assumptions ?

Can you add to the "Base" tab an assault value history feature. I`m fighting a protracted battle, and I would want to know how my AV is changing. Could the opponent AV be tracked too ?

Another suggestion: Ability of multiple selecting for copying/pasting in the LCU screen. I use openoffice to do the planning and it would save me a lot of clicking

We typically use single-selection in the tables, since selecting the row does something specific (like show details). If we allowed for multiple selection, it would be more work to figure out which single row is selected for the details, history, etc.

Not selecting rows, but multiple selecting lines would be enough

I am not ready to make that ultimate sacrifice. I will just have to struggle on, making many, many stupid mistakes. At which I excel by the way

Still too difficult, given Floyds reasons...

I'm glad to see you could use my OpenOffice instructions to get it working, in the end though I think what you want is an export function to xls, which I dare say Floyd might have solved, but I might be speaking prematurely.

Just to show, what a few hours will bring...

This screen is due to my inability to keep track of my CV air groups as mentioned in my AAR...

It will also show if they are off the ship and where they are ...

Don't know if its been asked and it will take hours to dredge the thread, but can a feature be added to the Tracker to show which sub sank which ship?

Would be cool to keep a track of the submarine aces as well as the air aces!

Sorry... We can only show what's in the save file (or can be derived from information in the save file) and that information is not in there and I wouldn't know how to figure it out.
If you can remember it from running the turn, you can make a note entry in the Ships Sunk panel.

Not saying we should do this, just kicking around an idea for the future (or never), but if we could enter the ship number (or use a pull down - type and then name) in the sunk ship area that sank the ship, then you could theoretically have a new report of what sank what, but it would have to be all player input... very tedious!

Combat reports could do some of the SS's too ... but that is beyond the scope of this project right now.
