I am having problems getting Uncommon Valor to startup on my Laptop. The problem is that when I start with the UV CD in the dirve and click on the desktop Icon, I get the startup screen. When I click on "Play Uncommon Valor" the CDRom spins for a second and then stops and nothing happens. The only thing that seems to work is to double click on the desktop icon and when the startup screen comes on eject the CD and then re-insert it. If I then click on "Play Uncommom Valor" on the startup screen while the CD is still spinning from the re-insertion then the program usually launches. It is interresting that when I re-insert the CD, I get a second startup screen that has "Install Uncommon Valor" in place of "Play Uncommon Valor". Here are my system Specs.

Toshiba 3005-S303 Laptop with
Mashita UJDA7110 DVD/CDRW drive.
Windows XP (256mb RAM)

I dont have DVD, but have CDRW, replaced it with my old trusty CD-ROM (tried them both), neither worked, must be faulty disc, already filled out request with the help desk to replace it, now waiting for them to answer (been over 24 hours already)

Just remember the people over there are only humans too, and you might be not the only one on their list ;)

I did post a reply to you in your post about this and have also contacted the help desk myself on your behalf. I understand you are concerned but there is only so much that people can do in one day.

Right! Hearing this, certainly is a boost for a morale. I thank you Ross. Believe me it gives me no joy, being and posting in tech support forum, rather miserable experience.
