I receive Norton auto-anti-virus updates and just got updated.

Anybody with a anti-virus might want to check their manufacturers site for updates!

I too run Norton on my machine as well as ZoneAlarm.

I had a real scare the first time that the Norton auto-update hit while I running SPWaW. It was not fun...I'm right in the middle of fighting off a strong Japanese attack and then a black screen and the game window gets minimized on to the task bar! Then the Norton update box appears on the desktop. I quickly made sure that the auto-update doen't happen again while I'm playing. Did the same for ZoneAlarm notices too.

On the plus side, I clicked on the SPWaW task bar icon and everything came back just fine.

I wouldn't rely on once a week updating with Norton, I would do it manually every day or two, it will tell you if your signitures are up to date. It saved my butt with that " klez " virus, caught it the first time with no damage to my computer

Auto Update is the only way to go.

I have mine set to update when I first turn on my machine.
Sometimes there are several upgrades the same day!

It only takes once to be caught unprepared.
