in reference to a conversation we had the other week.

i like supernatural but do not have high hopes for this. to bad cause this is one of my favorites books
btw it has an imdb page now so i would assume that this is a fairly serious effort.
[edit] Film, television, or theatrical adaptations
Paramount Pictures bought the film rights to Without Remorse soon after the novel was released. There were several attempts to start work on the film, but it was always dropped soon after, along with attempts to adapt Clancy's hit novel Rainbow Six into a film. Without Remorse is currently in development with a tentative 2011 release date and there have been rumors that Supernatural star Jensen Ackles will be playing the role of Kelly/Clark.[1]

This is what governments do, take money because you can't be trusted to spend it wisely.

Mr and Mrs Jones rush to the hospital for the birth of their first child. When finally the baby arrives it's only a head. The doctor calmly assures the overexcited parents that although rare this is treatable. They need to nurture the head and give it this special medicine four times a day. Slowly, over time the head develops a torso then arms then finally legs. Now the Jone's have a healthy strapping young son bursting at the seams to join the other children playing outside. The first time he does he chases a ball into the street and is run over by a truck.

The moral of the story? You should quit while your a head.

Gruesome lessons tend to stick.

Posted rtrapasso's wonderful swine flu/trip to Mexico checklist to my brother this morning. Not two hours later I receive at least 2 pounds of probate documents from Mexico City. One of my bosses looked at me like I was moving to a leper colony. Morale of the story: do not taunt swine flu or other viruses . . . . either that or karma is a biyatch.

Way back when I dreamed of competing in the TdF... of course, my dreams were relatively realistic - I dreamed of winning the "Lanterne Rouge"!!!!

(which shows how long ago it was that I was a competitive cyclist!)

Being Lanterne Rouge in the Tour de France would mean you're good enough to follow, so that's not bad !!.
And if you stall in my little country, just give advice and i pay you a beer (or anything that can get you back to Maillot Jaune )

I used to think about how interesting it would be to hold the Lanterne Rouge all the way through the whole tour. Being just bad enough to stay in last place, but good enough not to get eliminated on time differential... that would be quite a trick!

When I finally made it over, I was not competing but rather my bike was loaded down with camping gear. That made the Hors Categorie passes a lot of fun! Let's see... I hit the Tourmalet, Izouard, Galibier, Joux Plane and L'Alpe D'Huez on my trip. That year the TdF did not climb the Galibier and Izouard, but I had to because of their history with the race.

Brad, you climbed theses passes with all this load on your bike ???
Congrat's ! Even with an "empty" bike it's not easy.
I think you should be proud of this, you're certainly good enough at this sport !

Thanks, but I'm pretty slow... I could climb with some of the better riders, but couldn't keep up on the flat sections!  My time up L'Alpe D'Huez was about 45 minutes slower than Fignon's record at the time - but he didn't have full packs on his bike!.

As I've told you before.. I think that you live in a beautiful country - especially the area where you live. I hope to be able to visit it again someday before I'm to old to turn a pedal. If not, I have good memories of that trip...

Well, we should ask the riders to try with some loads
