Hi all, I recieved my game a day early (yippee!) and have been playing it rather....frequently. I have had about 8 hours sleep total over the last 2 days.... I'm dreaming of torpedo bombers and misesweepers.... my good wife has been understanding for now, but i have a feeling this 3 day weekend marathon session I'm about to pull is going to push her over the edge. This game is CRACK to a wargamer!
Do you guys offer marriage counseling? Needless to say, i love the game, and I go now to post myself on the PBeM section.

I alt-tab out of the game long enough to check the forums and then its back to the South Pacific.

Just remember; this is only the appitizer for WITP!:D I can't imagine that it could get any better than this.

Hi!

I am alt-tabing between UV, UV manual, UV forum and my Hotmail to check for new PBEM turns which means I am also alt-tabing to the save folder and Zip! I have just created 2 new hotmails for the PBEM games and due to growing demand soon a third:eek:

I cant say this enough but UV is the best wargame I have ever bought and it is especially nice for I have followed Gary Grigsby and his games since I was a kid.

It is easily the best naval wargame I've ever played. And, yes, I'm inclined to say that it is indeed the best *wargame* I've ever played, too. I only hesitate because you can't really compare naval games to landbased games. So maybe I just should say that it is the most *fun* wargame I've ever played because that's certainly true. :)

Agreed, this game is going to cost me a) my marriage and b) my vision. Matrix, do you provide discounts for eye glasses?

I think we grognards need to create an online support group for our spouses/SO's...where they can get together and chat with other women who have lost their loved ones to wargames.

It will save our relationships, and we can spend the additional time they are chatting with each other playing UV.
