Is there any chance we can have another AAR with screenshots that show the latest graphics?

Will the manual be released as a PDF?

We have a team prepping to do an AAR.

GOLD screenshots cannot be had until after GOLD happens.

Manual will be available in both hardcopy and softcopy formats.

EERRRRRRR..... so AFTER it goes GOLD, then we have to wait while these guys play through their game so we can see the AAR?? I thought GOLD meant 'basically finished' and just getting everything set for delivery?

They haven't finished breaking things yet , so there is no Gold version! Gold is the finished version submitted to Matrix for replication, of course Matrix then has to add it's peices, Matrix may also reject the gold version if they find something or need something changed! Things go back and forth a few times, there always one more thing, even after the first 99 other one last things!

I think the majority of the PvP testers are waiting on the build due out this week because of a save file change that wont allow old games to continue. At least thats the case with Tree and myself (didnt mean to speak for all the testers). In the meantime Tree is working on an AE mod - something to do with China, and Im working on a CHS mod for WitP (updating AE to CHS you might say).

Whereas I am pretty much still testing the AI and most of the testers are doing the same or testing individual chunks

Bummer. Sounds like we still got quite a while to wait then . . .

Testing, especially of the AI, will continue right up to gold.

No I hope not

My last AI v AI test ran all the way to 46 as a marginal victory

The Allied AI was actually quite competent and managed to take most of the must take targets.

I have adjusted asked for a few snag fixes and am retesting now.

The problem is it takes about 5 days of 24/7 running to get an AI v AI game to 46 - on the other hand I am testing 45/46 not 42/43 so maybe thats a good sign !!!

Just to prove we are actually out there testing !!! Here is the very last combat report from my last AI v AI test.

The AI messed up the Marianas and Bonins invasion but old MacArthur managed to invade all the way to Okinawa without them

Slim managed to retake all of Burma/Malaya/Borneo and was moving East on HK

Overall it was a good test with lots of carnage for both sides.

How about the 24 Allied ground losses from bombing Tokyo?

POWs??? Or is that supposed to be the flight crews?

Either way, that all looks amazing. Much better even than anything I was expecting/hoping to see.

With that ratio japs would need 450 fighters and 30 rammers to bring down 12 b29s.

And besides, FOW would only obfuscate by picking another ship name from the database. The Tarawa is in, along with tons of other goodies.
