I am playing the Coral sea scenario as Japanese. I set my subs (all based at Truk) in individual TF's and placed under computer control and set for sub patrol. however, they never leave the port.

should i first use human control and get them to sea then switch over to computer control sub patrol? or do most people playing run their subs themselves. i have "japanese sub doctrine" OFF too-would this have an impact?

3rd time playing the scenario -still no sub ops. Great game!! i love the detail-only about 10 hrs in and have barely scratched the surface.

any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

Status: offline 		the manual says a good idea is to send them to a destination of your choice and then put them on comp. control. they may move to a different shipping lane to get better contact. thats what i do anyways. i may leave a few on human control if i want them to stay at a specific local. watch their gas.

Status: offline 		ok. i'll try that -i was thinking they needed a little "prodding" anyway-i must have missed that part in the manual-i have read it 2x.
