Hi Steve, long time no see.

Simon! Great to hear from you! Our paths keep crossing, but missing each other!

I hope all is well with you and yours. And do you have any interest in making the long delayed PBEM a AE one?

Hi all,

Hello Steve!

Leo "Apollo11"

P.S.
Just a little bit more effort and defacement page start is gone..

I'll take the blame for allowing that. My browser got stuck last night, and I didn't realize I posted 3 times, much less leaving the new page for the wood head.

Sure, Mike we know that your just trying to get your post count up!

How's Alex?

Going back to Baltimore any time soon?

Hi Steve.

Alex is doing well, thanks. Today being the first day of summer vacation from school sure helps.

We intend to take a trip up to Baltimore at some point this summer, but we have no plans in place yet.

Man, I've finally reached the point where the absurdity of a certain Scandanavian's posts no longer occasionally amuses me.  Time to stuff him back in the "iggy hole."

What would be interesting to know is: is it a "european coffee", or an american one?
You know, the american one would be call a "socket juice" to mean it's not really some coffee

I didn't know that they grew coffee beans in Europe.

We don't... We're just better at using them properly. Same with beer, as per the old joke about love-making in a canoe...

What ?!? Ya’ll burn the beans till they’re black, grind them into dust, and boil them into an oily sludge that tastes like month old sweat socks .. Woof!

Café Américain for me. A nice pot of Sumatra, or a Kona … mmmm coffee.

Hi all,

Ahhh... p****d... at noon my mother called me that she can't open the 2nd door lock on our other apartment... spend last 6 hours "playing" with it instead of resting as planned... at the end the hole needed to be drilled through 30+ years old cylindel lock... tired...

looks like it stayed just north of the george bush tollway.

hitting just south of me... it tossed a UPS truck in the air (i've been told) and tore up power lines... we were without power for about 6 hours... fortunately, the large iron gate to the driveway was left open, and the person visiting us at the time was thus able to leave.

We had just hired someone to clean the yard yesterday... now there are branches down all over the property, and it looks 10x worse than it did before it was cleaned...

yeah we haven't had a storm that strong roll through here in a while they said the winds were 70mph. plus then the tornados and straitline winds that were even stronger. it started to tear the roof off an apt biulding across the parking lot. still lots of lightning and rain. i remember when the speed limit used t be 65 on the highways and those storms would chase you all the way from midland/odessa all the way to dallas. they said the storm was moving last night at 50-55mph.

Yeah - him. And about three other punk morons who have their heads stuck so far up their arses they could give themselves tonsillectomies with their teeth.

Imagine someone responding to my simple assertion that a computer wargame needs to have some kind of AI if it's to sell at all well with a comment that, by "advocating" solo play, I was somehow or other threatening the game developer.

But I'm feeling MUCH better now...

I just looked, and was surprised to find 7 profiles on my ignore list.  5 of them have not posted within the last year.

I should probably clean up my "Ignore" list... There's 373 people on it, but lots of them probably haven't been around lately either.

373!

I have 2 people on my "Ignore List" and they still post (albeit 99.99% of time not here in "The Thread" - thank God)...

Oh Jeez! I mean, talk about deja vue all over again! I did something silly (once) at Sill, and had this instructor put his face an inch in front of mine and shout “Mister, you have your head so far up your arse [sic] that it’s coming out your neck so you think you see clearly!” It kinda went on from there, but I’ve always held that picture.
