Happy Saturday to all. Enjoying my Bloody Mary.

She never looked all that enjoyable to me.

When she decided to execute someone for heresy, she always gave him the choice of either being burnt at the stake or having his head chopped off. They all chose immolation, I guess figuring that a hot stake is much better than a cold chop.

It was also the standard punishment for heresy, why change a winning formula?

Ole Liz took care of THAT, sho' nuff. "Hey, Mary! That head of yours - did you pay full price or did they knock somethin' off fer ya? Looks like it's really on a roll now, though. Honey, yer a little heavy these days, ain't ya? Want me to help ya lose ten pounds of ugly fat fast? I used to think ya were pretty cool, 'til I found out yer just a basket case. And don't worry about tippin' the axeman. He already knows where he's gettin' his cut..."

Yah, even Jeanne d'Arc decided it was too chilly to go without a fire that day, but she sure put up quite a stink about it before it was all over. Somethin' about how her cleavage ought to be displayed, I think it was...

My lovely bride has signed all 3 of us up for a week of sailing class to get our keelboat certification in August.

I've been sailing a few times and love it, but I am quite excited to actually learn what I'm doing.

Well I didn't think you could get any fatter, so I guess we were both mistaken... I would never be insane enough to even THINK about doing something like that...

Eyes on the back of the head reminds me of a quote from Satchel Paige “Don’t look back. Something might be gaining on you.”.

...and, in this idiot's case, something apparently already did.

Remember that old episode from "The Dick van Dyke" show when Mary, under the control of aliens, grew a third eye and came sliding out of a closet on a mountain of walnuts holding her hair up so she could see out of the back of her head?

It was the only time I can remember thinking that Mary Tyler Moore was in the remotest way sexy...

Good evening - Tithe.

Fantastic sleeping in, yoga working out, lounging at the pool, used book shopping, burger grilling, and chocolate cake eating Father's Day.
