HI Guys,
Turkey just did his first turn set up, so hopefully I didn't screw anything up! Let me know if I did!

I everyone, this will be an account for the game files... So for Diplomacy PLZ write to my normal account (michaudfrancis@hotmail.com).

The idea of this account is that you will all have acces to the file... Ether you made a mistake (erase it here and resend), or as I said I may have to skip some turns. In that case I can ether ask someone to take over for me (ie play one or 2 turns, at wich point you'll need acces to this account anyways.) It is also to make sure that any critical failure on my part doesn't stop the game.

To acces this account:
Go to hotmail.com
Username: nofrills1792@hotmail.com
Password: 1792nofrills

I will send all files out from this account and I would expect to get files into this account for second turn. You might have noticed an email is missing from the list... PLZ whoever you are send an email to this account (ie: I will paste this msg in the forum that's why it's here).

Monte: one really important thing to do on your first turn is to set your PBEM policy on. As much as first turn can be a pain to redo with economic management, I would like to say messing up the first turn on PBEM policies can make you accept some really stupid economic deals. I would say turn all trade off (export/import) only turn then on when someone ask you threw email for a trade deal and you agree to it.

One last thing. I will try to set a ''recheck date'' when I send the turn (ie just like Martin used to do). When I'm at my GF's place (ie: 1 week every 3 or 4 weeks) I will only log on around that time to check if I got messages. I will try to resend the turn as quickly as possible.

When I'm not at my GF this time will be of no use ( I will play as soon as I recive the last turn, or as quickly as possible). So I might not post it in that time. Please forgive me if this sometimes will break the 48 hours time limit.

Thanks all!

HiHi

Just to simplify.

To send turns in you do not need to access Francks Hotmail account, just send via normal email with attached files to, nofrills1792@hotmail.com

Should you wish to see who hasn't returned yet then you will need to acces the Hotmail account.

Well it worked for me

All the Best
Peter

MONTE = Turkey  (SENT)
IW = Russia   (SENT)
Andrew = Sweden (SENT)
Timurlain = Prussia
Mus = Austria (SENT)
Franck = Spain (Waiting for last file)
Kingmaker = England (SENT)
B2 (to be confirmed) = france (SENT)

Did Prussia get the turn? I'll recheck today if it got lost in spam or whatever on my ''normal'' account... Anyway I'm at schools unti 5 or 6 PM eastern time... So no worries until then.

I have put sent beside those who sent.

Hello,

Prussia got the turn. We were "christening" our son on the weekend and I have spent Monday clearing the house etc. and only just have had a chance to look at this. I will send my turn later today. Kind regards.

I'll post on main forum too.

Seems it worked by doing play PBEM instead of combine... I never combined the files. But still I tryed to play with the all001 and it showed me treaty offers by other player. Can you take a look at this file and tell me if your move orders were done?

I got the turn fine. Should I wait to receive the other files that you're going to send, or am I ok to go ahead and do my turn?

Yeah. I would contact Matto and ask him how he did it. I didn't find combining files easy either.

Martin said that I just have to restart the CPU and then the first thing I do is go combine the files... I hope it will work!

Until then I sent you the turns

Interesting. I have had that kind of problem with CoG:EE too. I usually try to enter my turn/play immediately after rebooting and things work fine. But if I had had my computer on longer I can hit problems.

For the sake of consistency I hope we can all agree on this naming convention ("first" turn is turn zero, etc.).

I dont want to have to add 1 to the number in the file name when future or past events with another player.

Ok, B2 made a mistake in is sent file.

I'm going away for until Sunday. So if I get it before 6:00 AM eastern time I'll play.

Otherwise you will have to wait until Sunday.

I will be at my GF for the week. So I'll probably try to play once on thuesday(spelling?) and then on Thursday.
