i have sent this to the History Channel, and they now say they are interested in pursuing this documentary!

What - right between those stellar "After Humans" and "UFOs" episodes?

See, if you wuz a LTC instead of the PVT you make yourself out to be, I could razz ya proper. You gotta outrank me (I was a major then, so everything less than a light bird was okay, at least on the surface). So promote yerself already, dogface, and stop thinkin' I might have committed a "faux PAS."

BTW, whatever happened to "The History Channel," anyway? A few years ago, it occasionally had some interesting stuff on it. Now, it's junk - and worse. That ultra-lame "Patton" thing they did was just unbearable.

Hey - they offered me the glorious chance to re-up as a staff sergeant. I decided to accept the promotion to PFC - private freakin' citizen.

Bobo, WiptTracker will definitely help you see where your issues are. The Witp Chart on the Industry screen is critical, as is the Oil/Res screen on the same page. You also need to check the Ship Production page and halt stuff that is making you go negative. Shinano is a good candidate in the Naval pool, and large AKs in the merchant pool.

Look at Air Production and check the Engines screen to see where you might be short in engine production. Convert as needed.

i show i am not negative in engines but my aircraft are not biulding at the rate they should. i halted shinano. and halted musasi till yamato was done.
will post screens from next turn

How far is Dallas from the heart of subject-verb agreement in Arkansas, anyway, Slim?

The only way I can think of to improve this quote is, "His argyment just don't make no sense."

But, I'm an aesthetician at heart. Could I fix y'all's hair nah?

fine is this better.

Dunno... lowest common denominator and all, i guess... but with "House in the Pacific", it's practically cash in the bank <kaCHING!>

like you are now, i am a PFC (private freakin citizen).

No... at one time (around 1967, iirc) i was actually trying to get in (still in high school)... i went down to the local naval base (we had one at the time, long since closed) trying to get details on a specific program with my dad, who had been in the navy during WW2... we got this huge runaround: one guy told us to see someone, who told us to see someone else, who told us to see someone else... this went on for 2 hours, and we were finally told to see the first guy we had seen...

At this point, we left... as we were walking out to the car, me feeling rather disgusted, my father started laughing... i asked him why, and he replied "The Navy hasn't changed a bit in 20 years!"

At that point, i got a real sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach and decided perhaps such a, er, messed up organization wasn't exactly my cup of tea, and decided to desist in further efforts to enroll...

The draft rolled around and could have scooped me up for the very tail end of the Vietnam War (i was a relatively poor kid, and didn't have the inclination to fight an induction notice)... i suppose i could have ended up in Vietnam in 1971 if i hadn't drawn a lottery number of 316, but they had already started to draw down troops so i am not sure how likely i would have been to go there.

It's Armed Forces Day today here in the UK. Apparently the queen sent a message of thanks to all current and former members of the UK armed forces. I didn't get one.

Anyway, we're off to Wollaton Park where apparently the 508th PIR were stationed prior to Normandy.

Hi all,

Yesterday we had 45 liters of rain on square meter (around 10 square feet I think) in just 4 hours... may cellars were flodded...

I just saw a comment on CNN.com to the effect that yesterday was "The Worst Day In World History"... It's scary to think that there are people out there who actually believe that sort of garbage...

Kristian, "The Worst Day In World History" regarding to what?

BTW, for news I watch BBC and France24 (and not CNN)...

Erm, hello... Michael Jackson died...

I don't watch TV at all; was looking at a commentary thread on the CNN website, when I stumbled on that little gem...

Oh my...

Never liked the Jacko... I respected his singing and dancing but it was never my thing (his girlie voice and transformation to become white)... not to mention his drug addiction and, erm, "playing with children"...

Well, there goes Michael Jackson... Weird feeling; he made some fantastic music in the 80's and 90's, but I can't look at him without thinking about all the later badness...

Has anyone else heard that the first reports were wrong? It seems he didn't die of a heart attack at home, allegedly he was found outside a local playground having a stroke

Hadn't heard that... but i did hear that although only on of MJ's albums had been in the Amazon Top 100 prior to yesterday, 8 of the top 10 selling albums were Michael Jackson or his family's album yesterday... apparently dying is a fabulous career move!!
