Ok, things are now getting out of hand. I now have 5 interviews next week...

We must seriously consider the correlation between celebs dying vs. the number of Simon's interviews...

EDIT: Good luck, although if you get a job it could mean mass mayhem in the world of celebraties...

Just ask your "friend" from that CNN thing you were quoting... surely if Michael Jackson dying is the worst day in human history, the universe could implode if all stage, screen, sports, etc. stars suddenly died/vanished/(fill in the blank)...

Thanks guys! Mrs P would be very happy if I got a job down on the south coast but right now just about any location would do. So I'm going to Hull and Leeds too.

That's my kind of "getting out of hand."

Actually, Simon, I think it's going to happen for you from one of these. My wife works as a "relief doctor" (think substitute teacher), on a contract basis. This week, she has booked 4 days/week for the rest of the year. It's a good week for new work.

Chris, do you hear that? Get some resume's out in the mail, my Brother!

Hey, I've been to Portsmouth!

My only port of call in the UK during my 10 years of service. Had a lot of fun with the locals, including some RN types.

Then we could hear Michael Oku (reporter for NBC) say more idiotic things like "Michael Jackson will only die once"...

I guess that makes it "a fine place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there."

Hey now, I'm applying to the U of Leeds for grad school! (Admittedly the longest shot in a collection of shots which might actually require an Admiralty Fire Control Clock, but still...)

Actually, it was on the Matrix end that there was a problem. The site had momentarily collapsed under the whining about releasing AE.

I thought maybe Germany had conquered the Soviet Union.

I am very happy with myself for not posting on that thread, although when I saw the scan of a book containing some idiotic formula for (apparently) calculating the appropriate angle of dangle, I thought about it. Then, there was the remark that all Germany needed for nuclear weapons was more "schweres wasser," my fingers started twitching uncontrollably in midair, and I almost went looking for a pic of a pregnant woman in which to implant (sorry about the lame joke) a smartassed comment about how heavy water really is...

You'll get one soon, Simon. I found that I always landed a job just as I was beginning to really enjoy being a bum.

So what you are saying as an Englishman, is that not only do you not care for non-English parts of the UK, you don't care for parts of England as well

Yeah, "visual examination showed that the airplane was not destroyed in flight; it appears to have struck the surface of the sea in a straight line with high vertical acceleration." From altitude, that would take some time; time enough for most to realize what was going to happen.

Damn ... what a tragedy.

Yes... that's the most important info from the document... they deducted it from the compression of parts they discovered... also interesing info about automacic messages...

Great tragedy...
