Turn to Tom.

Still no sign of anyone else, but I do keep running into Tom's "colonization units" everywhere along my border. So far no incidents have occurred.

Turn to Arditti about 6 hours ago.

In the north, some air and sea skirmishes vs Seille.  I am trying to capture an inland city.

George and I now peacefully share 3 islands in the south.

Turn sent to seille some time ago, so we are moving.

I am still playing catch up, especially production wise.:(

Turn to George. Sunk some more cargo ships.
Vikings have the lead in production followed by Sea Raiders.

Turn to Tom.

We had a small incident where a scout plane of mine was shout down by a Viking cruiser...

The turns are really laborious to do. Especially figuring out how to route production properly to all those islands and sailing many small ship groups around. I'm guessing we'll be lucky if we manage to make a 48-hour turnaround when we hit turn 20... Or perhaps it's just that I'm inexperienced with the naval scenario's

Same here.

Right now my biggest worries are not military but rather establish a sound supply/production reroute sheme involving new harbours, factories, etc..

Darth Seille(of the Vandals) and his loyal pooch "Chewy" make some air attacks against Arditi's(of the Sea Raiders) cargoships...this particular ship was filled with members of his superdelicious army. What a waste. Has Seille no honor!? Will there be repercussions for this atrocity!?
Vic had coded in the "peace option" to win the game through economics and goodwill, but Seille decided against this evidently..the horror that will come...is unbearable... sniff...sniff

Arditi of the Sea Raiders.

I sent my turn on a while back.

In the north vs Seille, I was able to sink a transport with troops though it was not fully loaded.  I knocked out an inland city and am trying to surround with troops.  I found a capital 13 hexes to the NNE which will be my initial objective.  I found that Seille and I share a large island that could develop into a decent ground campaign in the coming turns.

I did not realize that neutral ships fire on recon missions at sea.

In retribution... The Sea Raiders dropped 3 of his fighters to 1 of ours.  Also sank 3-4 of his cargoships.  We share a number of islands an a very large continent together.  Should be interesting.  He level-bombed one of my towns.  Dirty pool Herr Georing.
Enjoying the game gentlemen!
    Regards, Arditi

If this happens again I will find another Berber player.  This game was put together for a very quick turnaround and with experienced players to heighten competition, but gents this is slowing down a bit too much for just starting.  I am not trying to generate bad feelings here.  I wish all good will.
With Respect, Arditi

Doing turn now. Perhaps I am not quick or reliable enough. Yesterday I had a summer party of the company I work, a long day. A good excuse is still an excuse so:

Please do consider finding another player, Arditi, I will do my turns for as long as there is not one, but I do not think I am quick enough for the turnaround needed.

Turn to George. Not much. Sunk some cargoships again.

@Archduke
Maybe we just a had a bad start, BUT pls when you can´t do your turn like yesterday INFORM the other players.
All of us expect to get daily turns.
Russ did not point out that clear enough at the start. This is a ULTRAFAST game. All of us should be able to answer every day and if this is not possible
the player has to inform the others.
This is not like other PBEM where you just do 2 or 3 turns a week.

We want to keep the game speed very fast and avoid any delays. If these delays start to get longer players might lose interest and the game dies.
In case you have a busy weekend you maybe can find a friend or ally to play the turn for you

@Russ
Dropping Archduke now ? A clear NO.
We had similar problems last game and it was only temporary. Or did we drop you ?

I'm working on it... like I said last time, production routing is taking the most time, and you need to plan ahead in this game..

That´s true. All the HQ names say nothing to me. Last game i knew exactly where the 12th HQ of Light League was.
Here it´s less easy. As soon as i know the names better it will be easier i think.

HQ's? I've got about 40 of them... all scattered over little islands trying to connect inland villages to the sea so their production can be sent someplace useful... A real nightmare.

40 ?? Jesus. Why so much ? I´m using about 20 and i use them only at places i wish
stuff can arrive automaticly. Places i think i´ll have to fight.
Later i´ll disband a lot of them.

Imho your way of manual transfers is not that good in most cases. Are you doing it again this way ?
I already had some AS losses and i try then always to optimize things, but i´ll never start to transfer
production manually with huge readiness loss. I simply reroute it or try to destroy the ships/planes that
caused the losses.

And both Vikings and Sea Raiders try to give me some AS losses.

I'm not manually transferring production.

Most of my HQ's are building roads and ports to unlock locations that are not located on the sea. Only then their production can be re-routed. Also on some of the bigger continents, I need HQ's to support scouting parties heading in-land. My empire covers a huge stretch of territory (15 hexes left before my Eastern units meet my Western units) and I can no longer redirect production from anywhere to anywhere else due to the distances involved.

At least, I think it works that way. If you turn on the supply map and a location is in a penalty zone (say 50% supply penalty), then production from that location sent to the HQ will also be 50%, right?
