Hello all. This is my first post on the Matrix boards. I was introduced to Forge of Freedom by a friend of mine known here as Kingmaker and have just started my first PBEM game against him, we're just on turn 9 with me as the US. Forgive the question if it appears too ignorant. I'm a planner by training and nature, so when tackling the US economy I built myself a spreadsheet to better see my economy on a global scale. Naturally one of the formulas I built into this spreadsheet was one that shows how many buildings can be built in a specific city. My first read through the manual informed me that each mansion supports 4 buildings, including itself, and camps don't count against that number. Seemed straight forward. So if Albany had 2 Mansions she could support a total of 8 buildings, meaning 2 mansions plus 6 others. My problem came about when I punched all the numbers into my spreadsheet and many cities showed to have more buildings in them than could be supported. For example, Albany showed supporting 10 buildings with 2 mansions. Checked the formula for error and that wasn't it. Checked to make sure camps weren't involved, and that wasn't it. So I assumed I must be mistaken about mansions counting towards the support number. Re-did the formula to take the mansions out of the equation and all the cities came into balance. Problem is, when my next turn came, many of those cities that should have had room to build in them did not, and that could only be if the mansions were counting against the total to support. So, my questions are: Do mansions count against the limit of 4 buildings per mansion? If yes, how can I have a city with 10 buildings, but only 2 mansions and no camps? If no, why can't I build more buildings in a city with 8 building comprised of 2 mansions and 6 others? Thanks for your time. Paul
