ORIGINAL: HMS Resolution Hullo gentlemen, I'm not sure if this is an appropriate place to ask this, so my apologies in advance if not. I'm working on a paper for my application for grad school, on the Indian Ocean Raid, and I've amassed a ton of British documents on it. Unfortunately, I don't have much on the Japanese side of things, and I'd like to get this thing finished by the end of the month. My understanding---from Shattered Sword---is that the Washington Navy Yard in DC has some translated documents, and my understanding is that the staff there aren't able to handle research requests beyond rather general answers. As I'm in Chicago and my work affords me few vacation days---one of the many reasons grad school is an attractive proposition---I will not be able to get to DC before the end of July, which is also when I'd like to have the essay done with, so that I can start the submission process. So! Would anyone be willing to do me a huge favor and go to the Navy Yard to photocopy some documents? I'm pretty sure I could work something satisfactory out, if someone would be willing to help a brother out. Thanks for your time, Edward I could possibly help. Send me an email with the general outline of what you need , and I let you know what I can do. An afternoon of reseach, no problem. Two full weeks on a deadline, that might be a problem. I'm at AW1Steve @yahoo.com
