You'd better counteract that with a good dose of alcohol.

Keep up the good work. Everytime you post one of these, I end up spending an hour or so looking up the various items to learn more.

nothing really. Just middle of the week blues at Hell.

Applied for 4 more jobs this week. One hit.....the usual "thx for applying. Please be patient as we have received many resumes for this position and will be spending the next week or two reviewing them. Please do not reply to this email" I think my odds of winning Lotto are slightly higher at this point.

Doctors suck. As usual, can't be told anything specific. Throw some pills at it and hope it gets better. I know what i need to "get better"

Sorry to hear that man. Wish I could buy you a beer or something at a local pub.

De Nile is a river in Egypt;

One day, the Pharaoh Akhnaton was confronted by several of his ministers who were concerned that the great problems facing Egypt were being ignored. Akhnaton just shrugged and said, "Ah, you're just making all that up. I'm going for a swim in the great river."

Seems he was in denial.

and Bumfuq is a town about 60 kilcks from Thebes.

Archaeologists have determined that the inhabitants of the ancient Egyptian city were extremely stupid, giving rise to the expression, "thick as Thebes," which we still use today. Also, study of ancient sexual practices has shown that the missionary position was unknown to the inhabitants, which is the origin of the common modern saying, "There's no on her among Thebes."

Eric, I am sorry to hear that things are not good with you... I hope this is just weather related and only temporary...

I am on semi-vacation... for the next 2 months I will go to work only on Friday (I have lots of unused paid holiday days)... I will try to go to coast in 1 month time for 7-10 days though...

It's related to my wife's health......and probably not temporary. But still waiting some medical results. There is very little hope, but there is still some.

Have a good "semi-vacation " Leo.

I know one thing for certain when it comes to terminal illness, and it's this: if you lose hope, you die. I saw it happen to my father.

It's difficult, almost impossible to hope, but you have to, because otherwise it's over.

Bon Courage, mon ami!

Some more NASA news: they were going to re-process the original moon-walk footage (broadcast from the moon in an odd, non-tv compatible format that when converted to broadcast footage was drastically degraded)... however, they ran into a problem... it seems NASA erased and taped over the original reels of tape... i'm guessing it was for an episode of Monday Night Football...

They are trying to recreate everything by finding some of the converted images and reprocessing those tapes.
