Woah, I wasn't aware that World in Flames will be released soon.

Where did you hear this? I checked the forum and still sounds like the
release date is indefinite.

And don't forget Battle of the Bulge from Panther Games (probabily september-october).
It's in my "sure buy list" with AE and BoB/BTR.
Terrible time for my credit card...

Given that they're still working on the AI, I wouldn't be surprised if it's six months to a year before this is done. If anything, that may be optimistic.

I think their online survey shook them up a little. Most people are planning on playing against the AI and many stated AI only. I think they were getting set to let it out without a strong AI.

I highly doubt WIF will even be released this year. I am looking forward to the new war in russia and, BTR replacement, and the new Battle of the Bulge.

Well while we wait, I was just browsing around some sites and I see 3 new games announced by HPS - no mention on the Wargamer?

- Ancient Warfare Alexander.
- Total War in Europe Southern Front - finally a 2nd title for the series.
- Squad Battles Dien Bien Phu

Southern Front looks interesting.

Yeah , looking forward to buying both titles (AE & Eagle Day) but no game has ever been more anticipated in my house than Admiral's Edition. It would be cool if Matrix could stage another blitzkrieg sale to coincide with the release of AE using its other naval titles War Plan Orange , Uncommon Valor (for my money this is already a fantastic deal) to bring others into the fold. Erik already mentioned that War in the Pacific would be cheaper for a short time. No one treats its customers better than the guys here at Matrix.

Actually.... BtR roots is 12 o clock high which was Not anything to do with BoB
there was limited ability to attk Britain, 12 o'clock..BtR was day/night bombing of germany game... which included the USA airforces which is post BoB.

I have the original 1999 ish 12 o clock high/BtR
still installed on my XP box... have not dusted off the install disk to see if rn under vista..

I presume upcoming remake spiffs up graphics and will include more fun.

The original game was fun through in a way tedious
as you had to bomb and bomb and it was a 1 player game only.

Three games I MUST have when released:

Admirals Edition, World in Flames, War in the East.

And I don't have the time or freedom to do them all justice.

AE for sure, Eagle Day looks really interesting & CF when it comes in 1+ yrs ...

But IF I had the time and money, I'd buy 80% of Matrix's existing titles and hibernate for the summer in the air-con.
