Problems loading LCUs in transports ?

I'm trying to load some Australlian Brig to get a head start on the P. moreseby / Rabaul buid up in Dec 41. I just can't seem to get them loaded on transports? I set then to strategic move, but after the 2 days of packing, the Brigds still don't show up in the load menu at brisbane. The are attached to Australlia command if that has anything to do with it.

Australian Command is restricted, try to attach to another one. (R)=restricted

Yep can not load them up on ships until they are Released to SWPAC/ABDA if ever. In Jan you will get some companies :( They are not worth sending out until they can be made into a battlion in my opinion.

I am not sure if you can airlift to PM from Cairns or Townsville (R) units I will try that later or if someone could give it a go would be nice to know. I can't play right now.

I would just like to get some more Aviation Support there and maybe some infantry.

Units set to strategic movement will not be able to load in ships (in my experience so far). I've only been able to load units set to combat mode. But I can only load units onto amphibious task forces. Should I set them to strategic movement if I want to load them on transport task forces?

I have the exact opposite experience. units wont load unless they are in strategic mode. In the guadalcanal scenario i can load up
the "rear-area units" that seem to be restricted no problem when mode changed to strat. Think they were in transpost TF's using
AKA's to off load (quite quick) in launga and tulagi.

If the unit is in strategic mode, it can be loaded into a transport TF. The downside is that it will take a long time to unload at a small port.

If the unit is in combat mode, it can be loaded into an amphibious TF. The downside is that it will take up more space. The upside is that it will be ready to fight when unloaded, and can unload over a beach.
