Love all the detail in AE, but was just curious what's the rational for including Headquarter squadrons in the game. I thought they were just adminstrative units and their aircraft used for liason or for replacements. Never heard of a Headquarters squadron being used tactically. Could doing so be considered gamey? Do they offer some sort of support effect to the other squadrons in the group? Again not a criticism just wondering.

I could be wrong but I think they were used when the units were broken down into Sqd's etc. The rational could be that before AE the duties of a HQ unit were incorporated into the unit as a whole and now they are seperate entities and need to be close to all the units. I could be wrong.
