In the MCLV scenario where you are Michael Wittmann in his StuG at his first engagement with Russian tanks (can't remember the node number) I achieved a DV, killing 8 T34 and a truck, with a damage of 1 to the StuG.
Did I kill every T34 on the map or were there more?

All in all there are about 20 T-34's that I can tell. I have played that senario a # of times. I like it. The most kills I have is 16 all tanks. Many of the T-34's will leave the map if you do not hunt them down.

Man, 20 of 'em! I'm glad I didn't find them all, since I had a couple of "near misses"! However, one of the T34 who eventually broke through westwards north of the little river was killed from a distance of more than 20 hexes , IIRC.
If only the StuG of Vebbers Kampfgruppe had Wittmannßs amount of AP ammo....

If only all STGIII's had a 75mm AT gun like this one is "Tweeked with." Check out the pen values and ranges in Wittman's STG. That's why you can kill T-34's!

I just wish my Stugs came with half the AP shells, instead of the hand-full they usually have. :-)

Is there a reason for the low supply of ammo for the Stugs? I mean, 12 to 15 rounds of HE for an infantry support gun seems a little low.

Once your Stug is elite, he can rip through his loadout in ~3-4 turns if there is a target rich environment. I'm at the Stalin Line now and halfway through the scenario, I only have AP left with plenty of soft targets going wanting.

As always, take it as a feature. Since we know that ammunition on the eastern front was always a problem - except maybe for some stockpiling done prior to greater operations - also Oberst Vebber has to deal with this problem. BTW - and mostly for this reason-, I don't think that Stug's were used to fire indiscriminately on everything that was moving, but were used when really needed. So, in the game, I like to use them this way: as a mobile reserve that can save your day. Obviously, sooner or later, the ammo will run out; and then you can retreat your Stug's, reammo them if you have ammo carriers, use them to deceive your enemy, or retreat them to give the crews a rest. It's up to you.

I find my StuGs are getting a lot of kills, once I stop using them as tanks. Best thing is not to use op fire unless you have a really good reason... and pick your targets well;)

For that matter, my 75mm field guns are also racking up their share of kills

With my last round of HE I was sitting on a VH just daring any of the infantry in the trenches in front of me be the first one to "come out and play." I felt like Clint Eastwood with one bullet in my gun and 4 gunslingers in front of me: "Which one of you wants to be a dead hero?" The Stug held them off until I got my own infantry moved up in support.

Those last few rounds really do make you choose targets wisely.

Mao, my inf. guns take out the odd soft target or two, but their 75mms do not seem to be as effective as the Stug 75mms. Go figure...

In the Dubno scenario each of my 75mm guns got something like 4 or 5 tank kills each (maybe more) until they ran out of ammo - they seem to be effective...

I like the way MCLV is forcing me to use tactics to deal with my StuGs and inf guns

I too found the 75mm infantry guns to be very effective against small and medium tanks. IIRC, I also had one KV killed by a lucky shot. MCLV does really force you to use everything you have, and it's very challenging.
