Playing my very first CG game. I had this brilliant idea when I started that I'd use photoshop and draw, using layers, all the task force movements and troop movements and plans and strategies and how to make good waffles and you get the point. So off I went.

I have now given orders for my precious troops, air groups and task forces in Philippines and DEI minus Sumatra and it has taken me 4 days. 4 DAYS!?

I just realized it doesn't work. Then I started to think why should I draw the paths that every single TF takes on the planning map. Perhaps I should just like draw on the map the base they are leaving and their destination. Perhaps I shouldn't draw the paths of every single TF, like the ones that move to a base one hex away from where they are. Perhaps I should just use WitpStaff more and forget about recording everything myself or perhaps I should just stop ranting and get back to playing.

I think this is going to be another thirty years war...

I just keep it all in my head. I've given up remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and phone numbers to make room in the brain.

I usually set broad goals for a specific area (concentrate air & land forces in PI, Fully develop Suva & Nomea, pull back GATO subs for refit, etc.). Each turn I can review the goals & it helps me make sense of all the specific unit orders from turn to turn.

I don't think you want to know. If my waffle plans are anything like my strategical plans it is a disaster.

If you changed them once in a while it might cut down on the swearing....
