Game crashing to windows - 8/17/2009 5:00:23 AM

Status: offline 		i am playing the grand campaign in AE and on Feb 2nd the game crashed to windows once the turn plays through. I have tried to rund 2 day turns and tried to restart from a few days back and the game always crashes on Feb 2nd. Not sure what to do here.

Status: offline 		trying to attach the save game file and i get an error message that says "c:\fakepath\wpae10.pws is not supported.

Status: offline 		Been running your turn and it will not crash for me so can you tell me when exactly it crashes, at what point during turn execution, what is the last message you see displayed in the message box? Also which side are you playing and have you been switching sides?

Status: offline 		I am playing as the allies and have not switched sides at all. It always crashes at teh very end of the turn after all teh combat has been played

Status: offline 		I have problems playing the Japanese, between turns 41/12/8 and 41/12/16. Game regularly (every 2 hrs or so) minimizes itself; have to click the icon in the taskbar to restore the game. Then it will randomly (apparently) just crash, asking me to send a report to MS. I have attached a copy of the most recent report that was to be sent to MS. I didn't send the report because I know MS would offer no help.

It's a 19K text file.

Status: offline 		im getting a Crash To desktop, but Ive added some ships via the editor so wondering if that could effect it? ive played one game to feb 42 with no problems, then started afresh and can't get passed 1st jan 42 without a CTD?
any help as im loathed to start a fresh :-(
ive tried on too pc's same...

Status: offline 		Doc and Samro zip the save file and post it. Doc do you have screen saver enabled or some other background apps running (AV, e-mail…). Before game crashes what is total peak memory usage for game and free memory on box.

Because your save runs fine on my box I’m going to try and guess what might be wrong so ebrig78 I need to know what the last printed message is in the box is. Does the same thing happen in window mode and full screen?

Also everyone post your dxdiag file.

witch files for the edited game come to 880kb ish...

Actually it was. The problem was caused by use of the Off Map Turnaround.

This is a very nasty and very difficult issue in off map movement and is not yet solved.
