Let me try this one more time. I started my association in 1930--2 leagues, 16 teams. I instituted a salary cap, but put finances in today's dollars. It's now 1939, and, somehow, in the middle of the season, the salary scale has collapsed. The salary cap on the front office page remains about 200 million. Players who had contracts at the beginning of the season have salaries in today's dollars. But free agents and contract extensions are back in what I think are 1939 dollars. For example, Dizzy Dean makes 15 million a year, but I can now extend his contract for one year at 400,000. I hoped this issue might just clear up at the end of the season, but I'm only at the all-star break, and computer-run teams have now made in-season free agent signings at 1939 dollars. So the salary scale is all messed up. Is there anyway to return to the association settings and try to fix this? Is there anything else I can do? Should I just keep playing and see what happens at the end of the current season? Thanks for any help you can offer.
