It's called "War Of The Century" 7 1-hour programs about the Eastern-Front WW2, looks like it will be very good. It's latenight, so don't know how many of you can watch it, but if you can you should. Check for local timing.

Actually, it was only 4 hours.

I started watching it on Sunday night (having missed the first episode) and watched parts 2 & 3 "live". Then I noticed that it repeated at midnight PDT and recorded all 4 episodes.

Was an interesting program with some good colour sequences that I hadn't seen before.

I only saw the Spiral of Terror episode and thought it was fantastic. Any idea if they'll be showing this again?

Don't know, yes it was only 4 hours. . .aber Mein Gott. . .in the 2nd hour they just about totally forgot about the war and started talking about war crimes. . .but I did enjoy them shedding light on the horrible attrocities commited by the Soviets. They also conveniently failed to mention that the rapings of the German Women were ordered by Stalin. . .

I was reading John Erickson's 'The Road To Stalingrad' and decided to hit the hay just as I was getting into the battle of Moscow. I turn on the TV in the bedroom and I see Muscovites digging AT trenches!

Looks like it won't be aired again this month, so I ordered the video set at http://store.aetv.com/html/catalog/vp01.jhtml?id=42969&browseCategoryId=

Eh. . .they did next to nothing to do with Moscow besides talking about NKVD killing all sorts of civilians.

I saw this series when it premired a year or 2 ago.

The first 2 episodes were excellent then it spiralled downwards into warcrimes to the rest of the series.
Needless to say it wasnt very good after that.
