Have any of the experienced, one turn per day WITP players tried continuois play mode yet? I would be interested in getting some feedback.

I have tried it as an experiment to get beyond the 'watch Japan run all over the Pacific' stage of the war, and so far have got to Jan. 42. What has happened is that there are a lot of tiny TFs all over the place on both sides. And it is not logical. The Queen Mary was paired with a 12 kt AK to take a LCU to Port Morseby, and got sunk. At 12 kts she is probably as maneuverable as a hog on ice. [One of the things I try to do is keep most of my convoys in the same speed class - which seems logical to me!] The AI seems to break up units ad infinitum, and stick them on several small, randomly chosen ships in several hard to fathom convoys all over the board. Supply convoys from Sydney supply Canton Island, with enough supply to last until 1945, even taking into account spoilage. At one point, my intelligence screen showed 970 P-40Es in supply in December, 1941, with a production rate of 50. The current one shows 280+ in the pool and another 250 or so used. Granted, I have modded the scenario some, but it wasn't to 900 per month.

On the plus side, the losses are about normal for the time. Most of Luzon is gone, the IJA is at the doorstep of Singapore (though I cannot for the life of me figure out why the PoW and Repulse are still there with moderate levels of damage.) Almost all of both fleets in is port hiding from each other, it seems. The air units are mostly at full strength (though every B-17 in the Pacific is between Soerabaja and Palmyra, with a few in Pearl - and the AI pays no attention to overstacking in airbases!) I seem to recall one island base with 36 B-17s and a squadron of PBYs there with about 12 or so Air Support squads. Those were some busy fellers, there!

Thanks RevRick.I think I'll just go with the two days per turn.

Continuous play only works for computer versus computer.

Due to many requests (for some reason I don't quite understand), I have put continuous play back in for H2H games.

Easy, if I want to run a "sandbox" scenario to test things, the best way is to use a H2H with continuousplay.

I used it in WITP, and now in AE was a pain with doing 3 turns, and reruning when for example with 10 minutes of continuous play I got a month of gameturns played
