First the issues

1) "China Expeditionary" has units directly attached to it but no HQ unit of that name, but "China Expeditionary Army", a HQ unit, has no attached land units. Sshould the non-HQ units be moved to "China Expeditionary Army"?

2) There are units attached to "China Area", but I could find no HQ unit associated with this command.

3) 36th Field AA Btn starts the game at KompongTrach, but it is attached to "71st Air Flotilla (R)". The HQ for the "71st Air Flotilla (R)" does not show up until 6 june 45 in Yokohama.

Now the questions
1) I noticed that the 37th,38th, and 39th Inf Btn can be combined to form the Hong Kong Def force. The Hong Hong Def force is a CD unit while the others are Inf units. Is the whole greater than the sum of the parts? Does the unit gain costal defense guns or fortifications?

2) Related to question 1, do any of the units that start the game split up gain any units if they are combined?

3) If I combine the units that make up one of the Div units that start the game split into individual regiments and battalions, can I later split it make to it's component parts or only into thirds as in WitP?

Re questions

AFAIK when you combine units they form their parent and lose the initial split configurations. If it is a division you can split into A/B/C units SAEW in WITP.

don't know about the database issues.
