I think we're only waiting on Sweden, though I've been known to be wrong before!

I blame your bad influence on And2 for his being late.

4 days since last turn was sent.

Guys, I think it is time to go to the reserve.

I think we can wait another day on going to reserve. I hate to do that to anyone. I just wish we could get an update or an ETA.

Perhaps we can discuss the reserve list in a couple of days. And then move quickly. Or?

We could wait indefinetely, but I don't think this game is going to survive going 3-4 days between turns every turn much longer. Interest will wane.

I agree with Mus, that a 3-4 day turn around is not conducive to player interest. But, I've enjoy the play so far with Chindits, and would like to hear from him to see if he will be able to continue on a committed basis.
Except for the last two turns I've thought he's been very prompt, and don't want to write him off too fast! There are times when people get busy or sidetracked, but then are able to get back on track! So, lets be patient till we hear from him then get back going full bore!

At least give him two more days, as Barbarossa suggested!

That would make it a 6 day turn. Getting up near a quarter of viewing the period in real time if we get to week turns.

Our "Another PBEM" game is moving along at a very good pace. We just had half the players post their turns within minutes of the new Turn 86 files being emailed out. "PBEM 109" has been moving along quickly as well. Just to give you some idea, "PBEM 109" was organized just a few days before this one was and is already into the 40s on turns. Both of these games have had many 24 hours turns and several occasions in which we have done 2 turns in a 24 hour period.

This game seems plagued with people routinely exceeding the 48 hour MAXIMUM turn rule. Then when they do they act like they are the only people in the world with jobs and other committments. Nope, sorry the game takes 5-10 minutes to do your turn. Many of my turns are done real quick before I go to bed, or before I go out the door to work.

Much more of this and you guys can find a replacement for me.

I am one of those who delayed your turns (although as far as I believe not for such a long time) (correct me if I am wrong). I do however agree with Mus's points, I have learned to not delay the turn and just do it as it comes and if things need to change (which they don't that often) change them by sending another turn. I did try to update you guys as well when I got away from computer. You are also correct that almost all of my delays were caused by the fact that I told myself I'll do the turn tonight, when I get some thinking about it. I never did than :) and still had to do it in 5-10 minutes and it become a chore rather than enjoyement.

Though I have to play my turns when the baby is not demanding attention and is taken care of by my woman :) Believe me, babies are hard to quiet by playing COG:EE. Showing them cool soldiers, doesn't seem to work at all.

Believe me, I am all for moving along and finding someone else. I do wish And2 would post an update.

I will leave this up to everyone else as to what we do. I will just vote for what the majority votes.

I AM suffering from CoG:EE withdrawal. And more than many players here, since it is the only game I am involved in.

The worst part is the game is just starting to get interesting, but I don't want to wait a week for any player. Sorry.

If that is the plan it's time for ME to move on. I can PM my password and some quick strategy tips to my replacement.

Lets give Chindits till tomorrow to show up. If no word from him as to why he's delayed then I agree, lets find someone else.

HiHi

I emailed Chindits when I got in from work this morning asking that if he still had probs to at least do his turn & email it with B2s turn on to me and I would then do the merge as an intrim measure, so I feel that as Monte suggest we give him till tommorow ie 24 hrs.

It may well be as there has been no comunication with a previously reliable player that something quite serious has gone down, eg his puters blown or some personal prob of a very serious nature.

So just as a suggestion hows about, if no message by tomorrow morning we ask an Indipendent player from another game to merge the turn for us just leaving Spain as is, ie no actions.

How I "think?" it could work is if the independent player, (Mat would be ideal if he would, he has the knowledge/experiance) was sent the opening french turn to set up the game paramiters and the last completed turn, then he could pick up the current turns from the Hotmail MB, B2 you would have to post your turn there, and then run the merge, that would at least get this turn back up and running while we advertise for a new Spain.

Thoughts?

All the Best
Peter

I agree, with Kingmaker. Good idea. Hopefully Chindits will show up soon, but if not here by tomorrow, have that independent game player combine the move, just to keep things moving.

My worry would be that he does show up, but this 3-4 day absence thing becomes a pattern. If it does I hope we don't have to wait a couple weeks before looking for another player.

HiHi

Hope I caught B2, anyhow to finish off, Mat has kindly agreed to help us out which earns him massive "I'm a Good Guy!!! " points in my book and will merge the files leaving Spain with a blank move for this turn later on today, I'll send him the relevant start and last turn files, + Hotmail stuff so he can access everybody’s files.

Think enough time has passed to warrant looking for a new Spain player so unless anyone objects vehemently (and quickly!) I will post up an advert for a new player in a bit.

All the Best
Peter
