Last turn I took up the Super Frigate improvement, is there a new Icon denoting Super frigate that should appear when enough resourses are available or is the already established Frigate Icon used, ie any frigate I build will automatically be a Super Frigate.

Status: offline 		A question I know the answer to! Now that you have selected Superfrigate, you may purchase the Superfrigate upgrade for your existing frigates. I am not sure what affect it has though (specifically on quick/instant combat). I have asked that question before and never gotten an answer.

Status: offline 		The superfrigate becomes more of a 4th rate with the movement of a frigate.
It gets higher hull values, more men, more guns and more rigging points.

Status: offline 		This isn't available at present. Upgrade QC/instant effects aren't shown in the data files (unlike special abilities) and my understanding is that these details will be included in the next patch.

Status: offline 		Super frigate as a unit upgrade might require a higher base morale than a Spanish ship can currently achieve, given that ships don't increase their morale through victory in battle as land units do and morale isn't properly increasing through barracks, docks or even Naval Academy upgrades from what I can tell.

All in all an area that needs serious attention IMO.

Status: offline 		Super-frigates really should be constructed as such rather than given a special ability, but doing that would have been a lot of work for something that should be a very minor part of the game.

Morale isn't supposed to increase over time from docks and such -- only for newly built units.

Morale doesn't appear to be increased for newly built ships through extra dock levels nor does Naval Academies upgrade appear to be making them come out with higher morale.

Seems broken.

Kingmaker had the thread up about the docks not changing new built ship morale, with screenshots IIRC.

I personally ran into the Naval Academies I upgrade not increasing my newly built ship morale, which was a painful bug since it cost 225 naval experience in a PBEM game.
