Is it the same as the beta or are there more alterations ie improvements?

Uhoh...what's this!!

"54. Gameplay Change: Experience gain for training pilots is now slower."

How much slower are we talking about. In the beta, it was noted that the training bonus was dumbed down by accident and that it should be the same as original. If I remember it correctly, instead of 5 it was changed to 3 and left in the beta patch by accident. Is the official patch sticking with 3? or 4?

It is not the same as the beta, which was v1.00.83c. This is v1.00.84d and there were indeed additional fixes and improvements.

Many thanks Erik and the Dev Team, great job as usual.
Can't stop playing tonight,... only to install the new patch!
Cheers, TZ.  ...infinity...

Thanks Team AE!!!

Is there anything that will not carry over to a saved game? Ive been working on turn 1 but have not pressed the next turn button yet. Will OOB changes and everything else take effect?

EDIT: Ok just saw this nevermind!

When you load an older save file, the following improvement/changes will
automatically be incorporated into your game.
1. Code Changes
2. Device Changes
3. Aircraft Changes
4. TO&E Changes (these will only take effect when a unit gets to its next TO&E
upgrade point)
5. Ship Class Changes (these will only take effect when a ship gets to its next
upgrade point)
6. Map changes
The following improvements/changes will only be immediately available if you start a
new game. Some will be applied as noted above when a unit reaches its next upgrade
point.
1. Air Group changes
2. Ship changes
3. Base Data changes
4. Unit Location changes
5. AI Script changes
If you are playing a PBEM game, make sure both players upgrade at the same time or
you will see out of sync issues and other possible errors appearing in your game.

So do I need to restart my campaign game (again) to get all the fixes from the 'official' patch, or are the extra things from the beta patch the kind that automatically take effect?

In the last screen of the update installer, just click the "View Readme" button. Or if you missed that, go into the Start menu folder for WITP AE and look for the "What's New" link.

There is a file called WhatsNew.pdf in your game directory. That has the stuff that has changed in it.

When I start a "Quiet China" Dec. 8 Campaign as Allies, none of the BB's at Pearl have any damage

Am I missing something -- ?  I checked the regular Dec. 8 campaign, and West Virginia etc. have the usual 95 Flt damage, etc.

Thank you for the update.

Is it perfectly safe to upgrade from the beta patch or is a fresh install recommended?

sounds like that is the 'Allied Friendly' version - to make up for the iron man scenario for the Jap players.
