Shaun,

This is something I have seen in many prior versions of the game. For some reason, teams are either not carrying a backup catcher at the Majors level or they're not using them. I find that a LOT of teams have tired, worn out or exhausted catchers in the starting lineup.

When I check the roster after the game, they only have one catcher. Any idea what's causing the kink?

This is fixed in the latest release candidate, are you using that?

Yea 1.84 RC2 is the latest, but technically that is still in beta (see the other thread in this forum for the download link).
