Summer 1939

Germany:

Regular German start - Poland invaded with larger losses than expected.
Unfortunately Hungary didn't turned Pro-Axis.

Denmark had to be annexed for the Reich's cause.
Started to ship resources from Sweden.

Japan:

Foochow taken with larger losses than expected. Resource repaired to make Japan's economy effective.

No factories were torched, due to the UN's request to not revenge the losses in Foochow.

Turn sent to Eric. Good luck to you.

Note: I had a very bad starting. Don't be surprised, if I lose. Even Hungary opposed the Reich!

Usually you can choose a better starting, especially when some small chance event happened.
But finally the result depends little to the starting.
Good luck.

By mistake (I didn't know that; this is my first PBEM!) I've sent my password for the Axis, thinking that Eric needs the password to play the game... terrible logic...

So he let me to restart.

Summer 1939

Germany:

Regular Fall Weiss. Poland kicked out with no losses.

Denmark taken again to keep the Allies away from the Sweden-Germany trade route.
Preparing for the Western Campaign, by the way...

Japan:

Foochow taken with no losses. (This time Fortuna joined me!) Resource repaired and Imperial Japanese Air Force ready for autumn practice in China.

I wish you good luck, Eric. Turn sent.

Fall 1939

Germany:

I can remember, that Hungary turned Pro-Axis... maybe I was wrong... it has a high probability, after I left a lone transport in Kiel...
Prepared troops for Fall Gelb.
I feel myself as a real idiot: leave behind an uncovered trannie in Kiel!

Japan:

Hirohito heard about the 'Peking incident', and ordered the fortification of the area.
Meanwhile, Liuchow was taken; we saw, that no counterattack could take place, because the Chinese lack offensive units in... I can't remember... south of Chunking.

Maybe it's wrong to take it before schedule; but I felt, I couldn't resist to take that nice place.

Forgot to mention, lone infantry in Chunking was strafed by the Imperial Japanese Air Force.

Turn sent to Chen.

Note: Out of town until Sunday, Sept. 13th.

Hey Eric, I think you've played the previous save; you were playing on the save, on which I had great setbacks! That's why I couldn't enter that save file with the new password, only with the previous, which I have sent to you by e-mail... damn...

Restarted again, due to the fact, that Eric saw, that he loaded the save, for which I've sent my own password... this is getting more complicated.

Summer 1939

Germany:

Fall Weiss is a full success, even though our Stukas were downed... luckily, Hungary was impressed by the Reich's offensive.

I forgot to occupy Denmark... well, next turn I'll do.
Sweden agreed to send vital supplies through the Baltic Sea.

Japan:

Foochow occupied, one INF damaged. Resource is repaired. China beware.
Imperial Japanese Air Force is ready to level all Factories.

Turn sent to Eric.

Fall 1939

Germany:

Denmark had to be taken, so peaceful trading between Sweden and Germany can continue.

Preparing for Fall Gelb...

Japan:

Nice words get to the Emperor's ear, as the Imperial Japanese Air Force proved its superiority once again . An AA Gun was bombed in Changsha.
(couldn't take a pic of the battle...)

Liuchow taken, enjoying beach and sunshine, until Chinese counterattack...

Winter 1940

Germany:

The Wehrmacht enters TLC, giving the BEF a last chance to scarper. Use it!
No luck however; I've lost 3 INF when attacking the Dutch. Maybe I should surrender... in 1946...

The Luftwaffe attacks the Allied convoy transporting supplies to the continent, while Stukas engage the French Tac; chances to hit were 0.37, while the attacker losses were 0.18... Stukas were sent back for repair.

Japan:

Imperial Japanese Air Force levels a factory in Changsha, while the 'Flying Tigers' are not flying anymore...

Turn sent to Chen.

Spring 1940

Germany:

Ze Fuehrer pays a visit to Paris during the parade on which German units show their brand-new medals gained during the 'Battle of Leuven' (French counterattack).

Eastern France was attacked, so the precious factories in Western France could be preserved...

Waiting for Yugos to turn Pro-Allied... and Mussolini is welcome also... well, we hope he'll join... or counter the Wehrmacht .

Japan:

Hirohito congratulates to ze Fuehrer for gaining land for Japan (French Indochina).
New resources will be put to good use.

Changsha was occupied, while the Imperial Japanese Air Force bombs an INF west of Peking.

Turn sent to Eric.

Summer 1940

Germany:

Peacetime in Europe. U-boots hit a trannie off Canada, while Italy finally joined the Reich. Ze Fuehrer is very pleased! Malta is taken, while the Regia Nautica is like a 'ghost navy'; they don't move in the Central Mediterranean.

Ze Fuehrer is so pleased, that he sends support for Mussolini in the desert. Rommel of course will be in the heat of the action.

Japan:

Hirohito is very pleased with his army's progress; IJA moves into Chunking with no losses.
Of course, we expect China to counterattack... we hope, we'll survive.

Fall 1940

Germany:

While the Yugos are trying to live together with their 'liberators', more reinforcements were shipped in North Africa. Mussolini is prepared to lose the horn of Africa...

Unfortunately, Horthy didn't joined the Axis, not even after offering them the Vajdasag
from conquered Yugoslavia... well, he knows. Maybe when the sleeping bear in the east will be woke up, maybe he'll change his mind.

Eagle Day. The Luftwaffe shoots down the RAF (except the Lancasters), gaining temporary superiority. (3 fighters damaged against 2 British damaged + 1 destroyed) Goering awaits a Knights Cross; Ze Fuehrer said, he'll give it, but only after a better result.

More trannies sunk. Doenitz also awaits some medals...

Japan:

The Kunming pocket was reduced, while the first prototypes of the 'Ha-Go' tanks arrive in Changsha. Chinese beware.

Factory in Lanchow was leveled.

As (as I remember) Lucky1 said: "If the US won't give the gift, we'll take it! "

Quick answer:

Germany:

We might come after you, Tommy. Not even Monty can stop the glorious German and Italian armies... at least, the German one won't be stopped.

Japan:

The Foreign Minister of Japan negates, that there was an incident in Canton. A failed sabotage action took place, however, but all participating locals were shot. Resource is saved...

P.S. I might have some time afternoon; school started around here, and will have time only for strictly 1 turn/day. (today maybe I'll get time for even 2 turns...)

Winter 1941

Germany:

U-boots patrol the Atlantic, losing one of their comrades... (why is, that I always lose more units than it says?!). Greece subdued, even though the border war didn't occur. Egypt taken, ready for turning Mussolini's dream into reality.

Romania and Bulgaria joined; their militias will be put in good use.

Luftwaffe hits a convoy off England; fails, and the bomber is damaged (even though the defender losses were about 0.50, while the attacker losses were about 0.10).

Japan:

Chinese collaborators are parading in Chunking, because most of China is now 'liberated'. Kunming pocket eliminated, with no losses (gaining some shiny medals ).

Turn sent to Eric.

Spring 1941

Germany:

The Reich prepares for Barbarossa (for our Soviet allies: only army exercises are taking place; we'll move the troops from the border when we're done)

Reinforcements sent to Tobruk.

U-boots have no luck on the Atlantic.

However, Goering got his medal he awaited; RAF shot down over London with minimal losses.
Air raid over Scotland, again, no luck with the bomber being hit...

Japan:

Paotow taken for the resources; partisans have damaged a resource in Changsha they'll pay for this!

Troops have been shuffled around...

Summer 1941

Germany:

The Soviets may still prepare for some more turns. Barbarossa didn't kicked off...
Ze Fuehrer saw low supply level, and few men. Maybe next turn...

Until then, a brave Italian INF landed in Trans-Jordan, destroying Monty's supplies; there will be no El Alamein. However, the trannies will be sunk next turn...
Rommel requests support; but as the Germans are tied down in Africa, the Italians try to compensate this shortcoming by sending fighters in Western France.

Wolfpacks hit a battleship and a trannie between England and Canada; Doenitz will persuade ze Fuehrer to build more U-boots.

Japan:

Peacetime for Hirohito. US will not embargo us, even though bases are present in Indochina...

Repairing Chinese infrastructure, and shuffled some troops around. Rest is strictly CONFIDENTIAL.

Fall 1941

Germany:

German and Italian TAC pilots are greeted as heroes as they return back to Egypt and Tobruk; they've taken care of a British fighter squadron over Cairo!

More shuffling around; Barbarossa will commence soon...

Annoying British sub off Germany was engaged, but survived.

Wolfpacks went home for repair in Brest. Don't think, they're out.

US will declare war soon; so we took precautions.

Winter 1942

Germany:

Goering is fired after the Luftwaffe is shot down over London (damn autohit ,
3 British FTR damaged; 4 German FTR damaged, 1 destroyed).

The 'Desert Fox' turned tail, and returned to Tobruk. Italian Army sent to Syria, after Vichy Government chose the right side. Trannies will be sunk next turn.

About the trick at Malta: There's a rule about transports, which enable them to move freely into and out of ISLAND docks. Malta just meets the requirements.
Even though I'm a newbie, a know a trick or two about AWD.

Japan:

Ze Fuehrer congratulates for the good progress of the Pacific Campaign.
Pearl Harbor attacked; US fleet is really badly hurt.

Singapore taken, together with the Northern Philippines, Rangoon, Burma, Celebes, and Dutch New Guinea. A factory is leveled by the Imperial Japanese Air Force. They might feel the pain, as the Chinese did. The British might look forward to a bloody campaign for Eastern India.

Partisans are really annoying. Due to low supply level, they weren't eliminated. Next turn, they'll be punished.

Turn sent to Eric.
