depends on what you want, or the level, or the time
the old stand bys, JG 26 war dairies
Donald Caldwell, any of his are good, and he is the expert on JG 26
Prien has some of his unit books being written in English (those are kind of costly)
Nick Beale is good (good luck finding some of them)
Norman Franks, battle of the airfields is good
John Manrho and Ron Putz, Bodenplatte is good
Chris Goss, has some good ones, about BoB and later, the ones I got tend to cover it from both sides
Bill Marshall has a great book on the 355th FG (he is the son of Bert Marshall, one of the Aces of the 355th)
for very detail side
Chris Shores (4 vol set on the 2nd Tac is very good, day by day coverage)
there is a 2 vol set by Kent D. Miller about the VIIIth FC, very dry, but more detail then you can ever use (costly)
John Foreman or Norman Franks (again) have more very detail books, about losses and claims (most of those I have had to order from English, funny getting mail from there, it is Royal)
that should get you started, depends on what you are looking for
almost forgot
Christer Bergstrom is very good and detailed, more a read, then pure detail
(and thank you, looking for the names, I found one of my books, I had lost (my most costly one too!!!!)
(I also, can say that I have written to and gotten replies from most of these fine Authors, so it is much easier to recommend them, Bill was very helpful to me with some questions I had)
