Ok, Got a cheap laptop with XP Home. It works without any issue.

I was addicted at the time... Addiction is back with the added pleasure to see the previous bugs gone !
I have run a little bit of BOB but Bombing the Reich is my fav.
I'm doing a 43 full campaign and a 44 campaign. It is exhausting... The prep is daunting. :-) :-)

For the 44. Day one was recon only. Day two was a big one. 6590 allied sorties (german 3086) with a good kill ratio.
Allied losses : 121 German losses : 160.

I'm a bit surprised by the omnipresence of D520. Even if the get hammered there are a lot of them. And they try to go for the heavies !
Also surprised to see Ju88c6 so close to the channel. They get smashed as well.
Mosquitos are no more sitting duck preys and my Spits do much better than in the old version.

OOB is impressive. You added a lot of units. This is great.
One glitch. Some units are on the oob, can be selected for a mission but don't exist on their base. (Fortress RCM in Sicily)

As for 43 Campaign...
Nasty surprise from some italian fighters :-) :-)
Short legs missions during the day and big play with Bomber Command.
Waiting is 3/4 of the pleasure on this one !

Overall... Big Thank You !

Thank you

and thank you, I found it

you want the long story, or you want me to lie ?

:)

you see a Airfield on the map

you see a unit that looks like it belongs to that airfield, but if you look closly, you will see that they are not the same spelling

one is a dead airfield, the other is a alive one, that is in the same place

but, the Unit shows up, since it is in the game, but it is on the wrong airfield

Corrected

(that was something with the way Airfields were added to 44 with the code, and then I add with the data base, i had to go in and hunt for the ones that conflicted, missed this one since it had aircraft on it)

Ok.
Also like very much the extra photos recon planes do. I don't remember it as possible in the old game. By adjusting the flightpath you can really maximize each mission.

Got to add a big "roger" on this one.

After a few "detailed planning" days, working up recon missions, in the new version, is much more than the old "pick-the-primary; pick-the-secondary; fly a straight path in AND OUT" type of missions.
