I'm playing the Allies in the '43 long campaign and it is now the end of December. For the vast majority of the month I haven't been able to send any raids because the cloud cover has been over 70% below 1000 feet. My Med forces can fly some missions but the England based units are almost always grounded.

Is the weather randomly generated each day? Does the month/season have an affect on this? Is a shut down December fairly common or am I looking at a glitch? If it is common/WAD, I understand. But I want to make sure I am not dealing with some sort of a bug and am being too patient.
Thanks.

The day-to-day weather is random, but the time of year is factored in.
Be patient! Learning how to deal with the weather can be very fustrating. Just like it was in WW2.

In a few more months you will have alot more pathfinders units. Then the weather over Germany becomes less of a factor, because you can begin blind bombings. Be careful about returning bombers with bad weather over your bases... your crash rate will increase.

Weather over your own base(s), that problem never goes away.
