To set up this event, Jap convoy is off loading at Green Is, and the Danae moves down from Rabaul to intervene, a group of PT boats joins into the fray. Much to my surprise there are 61 ships in the group. Can you just picture this scene......

Looks like the "escorts" were a day late and a dollar short...

Though if I was playing the Japanese, I don't think I'd be laughing (tearing your hair out by the roots HURTS!)

Wonder who won the duel to the end between Mogami and PT24??? Any takers for the PT? If so, I know some great dry land for sale about sixty miles East of Naples, FL.

Six torps. I don't think PT-24 was alone in targeting Mogami. ALL the PT boats dueled with Mogami to the death.....Mogami's!

Early on in my CG one of my Asiatic TF's intercepted an invasion TF near Tawi Tawi, and several transports collided with each other during the melee. Then the escorting surface TF engaged my cruisers, and Nachi ended up colliding with a destroyer, and then Mikuma rammed another one. It was quite fun watching all that take place...

Collisions are nasty I had 2 of my fleet oilers collide between the west coast and Pearl and I don't know if I can get them to port in time. . .

Ouch.That would suck to have that many ships collide in one engagement.I feel bad for poor PT-24 who had to duel til the end against that Cruiser though...

Don't 4get what happened to PT-109 in the Solomons Slot in early '43... cut in half by a Jap DD quite by accident. And especially don't 4get who was in charge of her!

You know, the results are exactly what I would expect from an oversized, underprotected merchant convoy docked at a small facility. The designers got it just right here. Two many ships at a small port try to scatter in a panic and total mayhem results.

The detail to the game is amazing. In AE you can still make and use massive cargo and transport convoys but is it wise to send them anywhere but to a large port? In WITP my favorite tactic was to use multiple six to seven surface TF to overwhelm my opponent, but in AE this tactic often results in ships crashing into each other. Brilliant!
