I love the forums   People getting wound up about the lack of game balance caused by loading screen pictures

I found the same amusement in that one.

It's the "AE is for AFB's" thread.

172 sounds pretty excessive....more so if you had escorts.

I think most of the losses were caused after the bomber boxes came apart on the way back to the UK. Frankly, I was scared to watch most of it.

5 YO boy. He'll be fine, just the whole 'kid with fever, aches and cough' thing for 5 days. Unless you're one of the severely affected kids (usually with underlying medical conditions), it's a pretty typical bout of influenza, albeit a bit more 'catchy' than most of the garden variety seasonal Influenza B viruses are.

Is that a medical term? A bit more catchy? You can't stop dancing and humming

Dixie...

OK...I could have said that the morbidity rate post exposure was atypically high for most Influenza A subtype virus of the H1N1 subtype...

Hmm...well regardless, sounds pretty far fetched. The only place i've ever seen such bomber carnage was on the Eastern Front and that mainly in June of 41 with unarmored bombers and no escort facing the Jagdwaffe's best. Gonna have to get this title eventually and then try to find the time to play it.....fat chance probably.

We don't disagree on the far-fetchitude. I hurt my jaw quite badly when it dropped on seeing the losses.

Once my AE addiction lessens, I hope to have time for BTR and then I'll actually buy it. At least that's the theory.

You should drop in on that forum and announce, based on that result only, that the game is nerfed and only for GFB's

I have no idea who you think you've captured, but "Daddy" Mölders is fine. Must be Fog of War.

Isn't that the standard way of presenting your case in any game?

Usually you need more whining as well. And then state that the game is so badly nerfed that it's not worth playing until someone changes everything. Conviniently forgetting that it's not an exact mirror of history.

On a related note, why does the whine always seem to be that the other side should be restrained by historical constraints and doctrines whilst the side the FanBoy is playing as should be allowed to do things based on the fact that they are a fan-boy...

Well, I was not going to say anything but I think the map is nerfed, hence the game is unbalanced and thus unplayable all because Memphis, Tennessee is not shown. I am sure you all agree with me on that.

Woah, I think we can all agree that the MOST serious issue is that the game clearly features an pro-Japanese style click when you select anything from the main menu. If this unbalancing and game-breaking issue isn't sorted then I'll have no choice but to whine like a 4 year old until the devs change it to a pro-Allied click, maybe a full rendition of the Star Spangled Banner would be a suitable replacement for every click in the game. If this isn't forthcoming then I'll throw my e-teddies out of my e-pram in an effort to draw attention to the problem and garner support from my e-friends. With added twatness in each post.

When that issue is resolved then I'll complain that the Japanese player doesn't have to exactly follow history and can 'win' on points, using arguements completely unrelated to anything to 'prove' my point. Before changing subjects to prove that histroy was nerfed when the US Navy lost Savo Island.

I do not understand how it was missed either. It is clearly of immense importance. I will forgive you. But I assume it will be properly addessed in AE 2 !

Hi Paul. Did you see this new marathon scheduled for March? I'm thinking of doing the half... http://tobaccoroadmarathon.com/index.php?action=page&page_id=13

what time are you shooting for?

Considering it's been over 3 years since I last ran more than 4 miles......one minute under the cutoff.

It looks like a good run, and a good time in the future to act as a great target for me to do some regular training. If I can stick to a fairly good training plan, I'd like to shoot for 2:00 or just under.
