only a real big a**hole titles other people as one.

about cheating:

the only problem was sometimes overstacking AFs..thats it. i bet on it that he did the same when training over 3000 AC in russia, manila or china. so its laughable to constatly whine about 20-30 AC too much in a AF. (most of the overstacking happend after i took over the game and had to move around alot of AC since for example there were 1800! AC an alice springs or 1500 at sydney when i took over from miller.

about the preformance:

i made a mistake at makin, but on the other side, i spanked his butt in irkutsk and even more in china so he had to retreat. also i forced him to retreat from east australia and the units between wyndham and broom are on their way back to a position south of wyndham. so there is no surrounding here.

with new fleet CV arriving, i can bring up 1300 carrier based AC now with the support of more then 20 BB.

i enjoy a game against garry (january 1943 now) and i also play against historiker and roy, so there is no need to accept lies and insults from someone like chris. i also never saw someone whining around like chris in this forum in the last years.

if someone wants to take over and stand the constant whining of chris just PM me and you get the PW.

I did NOT overstack bases there. NOT. Repeat, NOT. Count up the aircraft numbers and then look at the bases. The only one doing this is you. And you even admitted it all the time I caught you.

Funnily enough and not surprising at all to me, you still think that cheating on "only" one rule isn´t a big deal. Heck, you could have cheated about everything, now that would be a deal. Really funny explanation. And you seem to miss the meaning of the word sometimes.

And the only one that is constantly lying are you. Lying and cheating, suits you well.

We will see soon how much you´ve lied anyway when saying you cheated about only 20-30 ac as Ambassador has asked me to send him the last turn as he would be interested to have a look at it. I´ve sent him the turn and asked to check the airfields. Then we will see if your either a cheater (which is proved already anyway) and/or a lyer too.

I´m not whining, I´m spitting you right in the face (instead of slapping) as this is what I would do with a cheater if he would sit in front of me. Playing PBEM and cheating is, as said before, the worst thing that can happen. More info as soon as Ambassador took a look a the turn.

I stand by my word: someone that cheats is an a**hole. But hey, "whining" about his opponent cheating surely is a bigger deal... If Ambassador tells me you have NOT cheated on the stacking rule then I will officially beg your excuse about me being the biggest a**hole whiner ever, but the chances for this happening are probably rather small.

And here we go. Ambassador was so kind to take a quick look at my enemy´s airfields and sent me the result. Note, it´s not me taking a look at it but a neutral third party. Thanks for doing so.

So, at Yunan there remain 63 aircrafts.
At Irkutsk, 1426 a/c, and though a lot are on training0 (all bombers), over 800 ftr are not grounded.
Dutch Harbor has 261 a/c with size 4.
Cooktown is only slightly overstacked, at 336 (size 6).
Perth, size 8, has 476 planes. Adelaide, size 5, 472 planes.
Noumea is at 412, for a size 5. Nukufetau has 234 a/c with a size 4. Lahaina has 384 planes for a size 6.
Karachi has 491 planes, size 6.

The result is absolutely clear and reminds me that this game should have been stopped earlier already, how many times was it obvious that he gives a damn about this rule. And when I look at the aircraft at Yunan then this proves that bigbaba is not just cheating me but also lying at me and here on the forum. In his last reply he told me I should stop whining about him breaking the hr and he wouldn´t have more than 25 remaining aircraft at Yunan (which would mean 143 instead of the allowed 110 ac). So he cheated and lied, there are 63 ac left at this base, making a total of 181 instead of the allowed 110 there. Adelaide is also funny, 275 allowed, 150 more at the base. Same goes for Noumea...

And even in the forum he´s deliberetely lying in saying I would whine about 20-30 ac too many here or there when Yunan alone is 70% overstacked. Or Adelaide with 150 ac too many... etc etc...

There was an agreed rule, one of the players cheated. Clear to me and I stand by every word I posted before. The fact that B-29 attacked from a too small airfield goes under "oversight".

a comment on my big opponents sight on the strategic view: everyone that followed the AAR must have even more a clear sight on the situation in China, Russia (lol, how funny, there´s nothing else left in Russia than Irkutsk and he spanked my butt) and Australia. The AI is poor, but if my ex opponent really thinks that the situation is as described by him then he is even more paranoid and shizophrenic than Adolf Hitler was it in real life in April 45 and the AI is giving you the same performance. He thinks he isn´t surrounded near Derby because his troops probably still show moving x miles but in fact they are cut off. Poor...

but hey, the game ended due to my opponent being a cheater, what a pity he can´t show his strategic genius anymore in spanking my butt... The only thing in regards of my butt is the fact that I´m laughing my a$$ off when I read those statements of what my opponent is doing with me. The one-eyed is king in the middle of the blind and even a blind has more of a clue about the strategic situation than my opponent who actually could look at his troops. Lol, I guess this AAR gives a clear situation report. Just look at the screen I´ve posted of the Derby area, says it all.

So, I made a quick check of the current situation. If there'd be only one reason for me being Crown prosecutor in the real life, it'd be my hate of cheaters and liars... and bigbaba is both.

So, I took a look at the number of planes in bases.
At Yunan, there remain 63 aircrafts - after the loss of 118 planes, so there would have been 181 planes at a size 2 base - max 110. This is not "a few too many", but a big overstack, especially as there are other Chinese bases nearby that could have received the surplus airplanes.

At Karachi, I've found 491 planes, on a size 6 - max 330. Again a 50% breaking of the rule, and excess planes could have been evacuated to Colombo or China.
At Irkutsk, there're 1426 airplanes. Granted, they can't be transferred, but although all the bombers are currently stood down, all 800 fighters are set at 40% CAP and the rest escort - and we've seen those bombers sent on strikes previously.

Dutch Harbor (size 4) has 261 a/c, that's 41 too many, with room in other Alaskan bases for the surplus.

Cooktown (size6) is slightly overcrowed at 336, but with room in other nearby bases.
Perth (size 8) is at 476 planes, and Adelaïde (size 5) gets 472 planes. Perth is isolated, but the planes could be transferred to South Australia bases, around Adelaïde.

Noumea is a big culprit, with 412 planes for a size 5 airfield. Nukufetau has a size 4 but 234 a/c. In both cases, other nearby bases have some allowance left.

Lahaina (size 6) has 491 planes - again, too many, and with place left in other bases around (or WC).

So, that's no less than 10 bases where there are too many planes in regard to the house rules. In all but one case (Irkutsk), the planes could have been set on other bases. And in that one exception of Irkutsk, you did not even have the decency and fairness to let all excess planes stood down (as we've seen in all those bombing raids by Pe-2).

We've also seen in the course of the game some ASW TFs with more than 6 DDs, one-ship TFs after the ambush in the Indian Ocean quite recently, more than 450 carrier-base planes in one hex some time ago, etc. It's not just one instance of "accidental violation" of the agreed house rules, that you agreed upon at the very start of the game - before being caught bloody-handed at peeking at this AAR (seriously, who would believe free intel is not forbidden ?).

So, I stand aside Chris in calling you a cheater and a liar.

If anyone has reasons to doubt my word, I keep the savegame and the password at the disposal of them.

Thanks for chiming in here. As said before Ambassador is a neutral third party that had the password before as he was thinking about taking over the game after Miller bailed out. Good to have somebody to look at it, otherwise word would stand against word.

And to make myself clear about what I think about the airfield stacking hr, I wouldn´t care about an airfield like Cooktown with 6 ac too many. Who would? I get pissed about getting airbalance numbers of 4000 at single airfields when you see no other airfield in range with ac on it. This gives you clear intel of more than 700+ ac on an airfield when around 500 would be max at a level 9 af. Same goes for Yunan, if there would be 118 instead of 110, heck, who would care. But not 180+ when 110 are allowed.

where did you got the allied game PW, ambassador? surely not from me.

so that remains only chris and if you got the allied game PW from him, that means that miller gave him the game PW after quitting the game and so chris had the allied savegame PW with the possibility to look inside the allied savegames.

if that is the case, i just wasted my time playing against a cheater who had my sides savegame PW and didnt said anything about it.

beside that, i dont know anything about "more then 6 ships in ASW TF" and "more then 450 carrier based AC in a hex". ambassador must be so confused that he forgot that i took over the game from miller, an opponent against who chris played more then a year and who gave me a game with 1800 AC at alice springs and 1500 at sydney. what a double moral standard.

here is chris at his best:

...I´ve been following this aar since many months. Excellent situation, excellently written, good play.

I just can´t believe what I´m seeing / reading now.

What has become of you guys? Children?
What´s the reason for those insults, lawyering and all the crap? OK, somebody violated a hr? Just stop playing and look for somebody else to take over.

Why don´t you guys take a cold shower, get some food, some sleep and get a life for a while? "Playing" should have something to do with "fun"...

99% of the people I met on this forum seem to thinking that way.

Cheers,
-CS

You seem to have a bad memory.  YOU sent me the password by PM on April 10th, at 12:52:48 PM.  Long story made short, when Miller bailed out, I planned to take over, but had to cede the seat back to you after a week, when I realized I did not have time enough for a (then) second PBEM.  Remember now ?

I've kept the PM in my inbox, available for any who would doubt my word.

I can otherwise vouch for the honesty of Chris, who never got the password - not from me, and I'm 100% sure not from Miller either.  When the matter of your cheating came back again a few months ago, I offered to Chris to take a look at the save, as a neutral third party, to clearly state whether or not you were cheating.  He opted to continue trusting you at the time.  This says a lot about one's character for me, from a professional POV.

unfortunetely, when you put hours and hours into a PBEM and AAR and then something like cheating happens, then this is enough not to just turn around. Cheaters should be put on a list in the opponent wanted forum. Only children and people with a very poor character cheat and he´s one of them, so my insults are something I stand to.

Amazing performance by you Christian. If we both should ever have enough time simultaniously, we should try out a AE game without (m)any house rules...

On the other hand, the behaviour of you both is very surprising...

thanks. One of the things I hope AE achieves is not to having the need of any house rules. At least not many. Not needing a hr about stacking limits in AE is a good start.

Im sorry but that is Bollocks. I did use Alice springs as an a/c "dump" for short range obsolete types earlier in the contest, but moved them out to other bases when Chris commented on the high Air Balance number.

I would have liked to have continued the game but ultimately decided to quit as i had lost far too many ground units to advance at anything other than a snails pace for the rest of the game. You were already flogging a dead horse when you took it over from me.

Congratulations to Chris on his excellent play (he is the king of whiners though)

Well, I followed this from start to untimely end, and I'll add it to the tally of games definatively 'won' by Japan. Still, I would have liked to see it end more cordially. But, for the most part, a good game.
